“Recently had a lunch catered by Apple Harvest. BLOWN AWAY! Had an amazing rareRoast beef sandwich. The Italian bread was unbelievably fresh, and the horseradish sauce was a perfect pair. For sides there was a tasty bow tie pasta with feta, spinach and pine nuts (I think)...Fantastic. The creamy coleslaw was top notch and the chocolate chip cookie was baked to perfection. Who knew this gem was right here in the neighborhood. If you need a corporate lunch catered or just wanna treat the employees to something special...give this place a try...you won’t be disappointed.“

“I had been into this place several times without buying anything. Compared to the other ethnic grocery stores in the strip district, there simply is not a bunch of stuff here. However, I finally got the nerve to order some of the garlic kielbasa. I was blown away with how good this sausage was. I am definitely a sausage enthusiast. I like sausages from all different parts of the world. This place is kielbasa has a reputation. And to be honest, at first, I was expecting it to not live up. I pan-fried some of the kielbasa.
The sausage is quite serendipitous. It's really the only way to describe it. I was fully expecting the meat tube to be simply "aight". The texture is fire. The meat is very coarse. And there is an excellent meat to fat ratio.
Like I said before, the grocery store section seems to be a little bit slim pickens. Admittedly, I am ignorant and general of Polish food besides the usual Pittsburgh stuff. One of the treats going into these ethnic stores is walking around the house and finding stuff that you never knew that you wanted.“

“Deli on Butler never misses! Their sandwiches are top-tier, but I’m locked in on the Cuban, easily the best in town. Perfectly pressed, loaded with flavor, and just the right amount of crunch. The whole crew is great, but Pete? Absolute legend. If you haven’t been yet, you’re seriously missing out!“

“We love Pirollo’s. The place is small but immaculate. The staff have always been friendly and efficient. The battleships are excellent with quality ingredients. Hours are limited but it’s definitely worth it to make the effort to stop in.“

“This location was recommended for a medical school reunion in Pittsburgh by our alumni association. The food was excellent and the portions very generous. We did the family style dining for a large group, and it was very well received. One of my Italian classmates sate the the Cacio e Pepe was the best that he had tasted outside of Milan. I would strongly recommend this location for really first rate Italian food and a great atmosphere“

“Discovered this place by chance, and it was such a pleasant surprise. I was working out of a nearby cafe, but unfortunately they did not have any food and I was extremely hungry, so I looked up any food places nearby. This Deli was only a couple minutes away, and people were raving about the corned beef sandwich so that is what I got. The deli is pretty simple and has some selection of drinks and snacks, but the sandwich corner is very prominent with neatly stacked ingredients and very sweet ladies who are making the sandwiches. The lady who took my order was extremely sweet and nice, and she asked me for my choice of bread, cheese, and toppings. For $13, the sandwich was massive and an absolute steal. I haven’t had any corned beef sandwiches in my life, but for what it was, it was extremely tasty. it came with two thinly sliced pickles, which added a nice acidity to the fatty meat. I was so hungry. I literally ate it while waiting for my bus. Absolutely 10/10.“
