Jen’s Roti Shop and Caribbean Cuisine

Macaroni and cheese was hard and I had a slice of pound cake it was stale.

Says they’re open but drive 45 mins just to see they’re closed. Here at 650 and they’re closed with a listing that was updated 2 weeks ago to say they’re open til 8pm. Waste of time and gas.

Food is good. What’s always disappointing is the amount of times they’re closed. I don’t understand having a restaurant and never being open. Fix that please!!

Love this place! The roti (chicken for me) is awesome. Definitely enough for two people/meals! They have a lot of different items to choose from, but I am a creature of habit lol

I usually go here at least twice a week not the greatest but nostalgia and a craving for “home” food made me a return customer.
Saturday I got roti and curry shrimp… I’m pretty sure it was shrimp from the day before it wasn’t just rubbery it was beyond tough… I at like 4 because my money was spent but I’m not going back.
Imagine the Jamaicans next to the Caribbean African market has better roti!

Don't even bother going there food is horrible the doubles is nowhere near ny queen level and the price is ridiculous for the quality and roti too, avoid this place.

I have been to the is location many times and I have to say that the oxtail, chicken, and goat are my favorite items to get there. they also have one of the best tasting doubles there. I always see the owner Dan there and he would always put a smile on my face. If you want real Caribbean food but there is no good tasting restaurants, then go to Jen’s.

The food, service and smile were all recommendable! I absolutely loved their Doubles... the herring was also delicious. I can't wait to go back! (Update: the mean lady that used to work there is GONE- 🙏🏽thankfully!)

Pulled up at 10 after 7pm sign says they close at 8pm as well as google.
The door was looked and the person inside gestured to me they are closed.
I’ll never come back here and if anybody knows me I love to support black owned businesses.

Food was good salt is a little too much but overall for real Caribbean it’s the best you’ll find in the Poconos. And for those that look for Jerk chicken typically jerk chicken is best when it’s fresh right after it’s cooked. If it’s in a food warmer, they tend to dry out as with any kind of fried meat or baked.The Jamaican foods tend to be a little dry and flavor diluted from other places that I’ve tried.
And I’ve tried all the places in Stroudsburg Tannersville and Mount Pocono

Yo this food was so good and flavorful wonderful chefs here . The doubles where so good I came back in the morning for a roti being that I don’t eat meat this was the best place in town to get a vegan wholesome meal the roti I had with potatoes chickpea spinach and okra was good for the soul hmm!!! So good the roti skin was excellent as well . I had to stop the chefs and thank them their hands are blessed I don’t see how someone could not like the food here it is a gem to this town .

Don’t waste your money! This was a waste of time and money. Jerk chicken was dry as shown. Oxtails are 25.00 worth of flavorless meats. Spinach saltly upon salt. Taste like they just used chicken bouillon. I’m one and done. Guess you’d need a certain dialect to get good food.

They really suck with doordash. Had me waiting 50 minutes for an order placed then didnt even give me anything free for waiting over 50 minutes past pick up time. I got the vegetarian dish, the ocro was ok, the spinach could use less salt. The rice was not good. Overall not so good as Nyc spots. The doubles is what I usually come for and it seems they started putting less channa in them. Doordash service sucks horribly. But the new Caucasian cashier was very nice. The man not so much. Sadly i wont be back.

Listen, this is one of a handful in the area. The food is delicious. It’s freshly prepared daily and the small family atmosphere is there. Yes they have different workers but that’s a part of living in the diverse Poconos. Yes, they may cost a little more but it’s well worth it.

Country music was playing when I walked in , and Becky was at the counter. It's culture, it's ethical values, and if your offended sorry not we will not support. And by the way Justice for all our fallen loved ones that fell victim to a country made off thier backs to destroy them ! Do better.
