Sweet House Chinese Restaurant

this place is a childhood favorite of mine. ever since i was a kid, my family has always trusted sweet house for their kind personnel, good food, and overall hospitality. their pork dumplings are TO DIE FOR! no one else in york has better food or better service :)

I have never eaten here and I NEVER plan to! I honestly wouldn't suggest this place to anyone. I recently posted an add on Craigslist for my sweet fur babies that unfortunately we have to rehome. Tell me why I got an email from the restaurant asking for one of my cats??? I asked if they wanted to meet them before taking one home and they said no they just wanted to pick it up and go. After reading all these other reviews about the food it makes complete sense to me. I told them we are being picky with who we give them to and asked to meet them before letting them take one and they never responded! That alone tells me enough about this place. I feel sorry for anyone who has and will go to this place to eat.

Tried this place because Yummy Yummy was closed. Didnt think it was good, maybe I just like the way Yummy Yummy prepared my food.

9/18/18 went to this place I will not call it a restaurant because it is totally disgusting floors are filthy grease all over the walls light fixture is disgusting and the fan in the front has grease all over blowing all over the restaurant and that's just the restaurant now about food I've been a chef for 36 years and this place is totally totally disgusting I got beef on a stick thatWhat is a Gray colored Also I got shrimp lo mein that the noodles were so over cooked they just turned to mush in your mouth and the flavor wasn't much better my son got the General tso's chicken which I didn't take notice but my son did and said something while after we were in the car that it was sitting out next to the deep fryer getting warm I don't know how long it was there but the General Sal was also disgusting I could not find one decent thing to say about this restaurant. So please please don't waste your money on this place you will be totally dissatisfied after we taste of this food we threw it all in the trash and I have two dogs that I would not even feed it to them so we went to McDonald's and bought food that we know you could eat at least please take this notice for what it is there are other Reviews take them to heart eat somewhere else thank you

Quite possibly the worst, most disgusting Chinese restaurant (or any other restaurant for that matter) that I have ever been to in PA. I think people actually live in the kitchen. Gross.

I am very sad they are closed and my husband and I hope that they will reopen soon. The owners are the sweetest people and they remember us every week. We've watched each other's families grow. They are our date nite takeout

This place is pathetic. They say they will deliver food and I live only 1 mile away, but that is apparently too far for them. Not to mention they were rude on the phone and hung up on me.

Omg the food tastes horrible! Save yourself the headache and go somewhere like wild ginger or Giant

Hair in food. Filthy place. Chewy egg roll. Old fryer oil.

When we want Chinese this is a good price and fast.

The one kid was bare foot! The other kid was play a video😑 The food was horrible DO NOT GO THERE😝😝

The cleanest thing there was the dirt on the walls. Employees children were bothering us the whole time while we were eating. Also, very nasty food DO NOT GO THERE.

I always get pretty much the same order. It has been consistent for years. Extremely nice owners who work their asses off! My go-to Chinese spot.

Best Chinese take out around York! Great food, great portions, great price & nice people! If your looking for some authentic New York Chinese food, look ne further!
