We were very excited to try this place but it did not live up to expectations. Like others have said the food was over salted and over flavored. Stay away from the smoked chocolate lava cake and the citrus crème brûlée both missed the mark on a palatable flavor profile. I see in another review response from 4 weeks ago the owner states the AC was repaired but it was very much not working last night. Service as described by others was painfully slow in a “we can’t keep up with food preparation” way not a “fine dining” way. When we received a recommended wine that tasted like vinegar that had clearly gone bad, the owner sent the waitress back to our table to offer resolutions. By the end of the meal, we had to physically get up to ask for the check as the owner and staff were busy chatting amongst themselves. It pains me to write this review but I seriously just want to spare someone else from a very poor restaurant experience. Spend your time and money going to one of Easton’s other great restaurants.

If you are looking for exceptional libations with curated dishes to accompany, this is the spot. Hospitality is accentuated from the staff to the accomodations. The attention to detail is extended by the nods to mid-century architecture. The loyalty to heritage and playfulness is seen throughout the wine and dinner menu. Highly recommend as a culinary experience in the Lehigh Valley. On a minor note, a small improvement would be the presentation of the bass, which was gracefully nested in a circle of sauces, but can drip beyond this layer if carried at an angle before serving. A lighter salting would elevate the pairings. They furnish an impressive list of spirits, specifically digestifs. Overall, this is a must-visit for any foodie in the Lehigh Valley.

Every bite and sip was incredible, waitstaff are a delight, and unfortunately didn't leave room for dessert, but just another reason to come back soon!

It truly pains me to write this, but I did give them a chance to respond. I came here last week with a couple of friends after the Live at the Falls event got rained out. I will list out my experience to keep it short:
1) Everything was salty. The Charcuterie was understandably salty with cured meats, but the bread/cracker they provided was all salt. It killed the experience of the rest of the items.
2) Staff seemed like they were lost. I understand if they were just new, but we were one of 3 active tables. They kept asking us our order, but also will get it wrong. We had to keep asking where our order was even as things were being delivered, we had to wait an additional 15 minutes to receive the orders that came with the charcuterie.
3) After receiving the bottomless mussels, my first bite was the fries and A LONG STRAND OF HAIR. Forget the fact that the fries were also overtly salty. I've consulted with other restaurants on how to enforce ServSafe practices and no way did I think Kabinett will get it wrong. (Please review Pa code § 95.230. Food services.) Instead of immediately taking my plate away, the server asked if I wanted to take the food back. (Yes of course I want to take the food back considering it has been contaminated.
4) After finding hair in my food, I'd appreciate if the service improved, but all I got was a hand on my shoulder that I did not want and the same exact service. Long wait times and a forgotten table.
5) After asking for the check, I had to correct the server as they overcharged the bill by $15. I was questioned as to why I thought that before they confirmed with their manager.

Considering that a 20% gratuity is automatically in place, I'd expect to be treated better.

I voiced my concerns via Resy. I waiting exactly 1 week with no apology or response. I am very disappointed to say the least.

We love Kabinett! The food is fresh, seasonal, healthy and delicious, and the wine list is mind blowing, with so many unique options. Jason and his staff hosted our party of 85 for a gradation luncheon at the Tucker Garage and did a top notch job with everything. Highly recommend!

Amazing food. I've eaten here many times. We've had a small private event (in the Narnia room) and a large event here (at Tucker). I've had a few different steak tartares that were incredible. Pork and Duck schnitzels were amazing. Excellent selection of wines and German beers. Jason and his staff are very friendly and knowledgeable to help with wine, beer, and food selections. They have a beautiful outdoor deck/patio space out back (at Tucker).

You can tell Jason has a vision the moment you walk into Kabinet. The space is thoughtfully put together with subtle details that signal you’re in for something different. What makes this place rare is that the kitchen hasn’t compromised to cater to an imagined American palate. Every dish that hit the table felt deliberate, clean and composed, both in taste and presentation. No unnecessary flourishes, no crowd-pleasing shortcuts, just clarity and confidence.

Jason’s borderline obsessive attention to detail shows in the way each plate is constructed, almost architectural in its precision. And then there’s the wine list which is massive, meticulous and a little intimidating at first glance, but Jason walks you through it with real knowledge and zero ego.

Kabinet is without exaggeration one of the most memorable meals I’ve had in the States.

Mother’s Day Lunch was superb. The asparagus salad was excellent with perfectly cooked asparagus and excellent dressing. The schnitzel was melt in your mouth tender and an oversized portion. The oysters were the perfect size with a tasty vinegar and mustard seed accompaniment. The cream bread pudding was heavenly. The staff was pleasant, friendly and very efficient. Cannot wait to do a dinner there and try their regular menu.

We received a gift card to visit Kabinett as a wedding gift last October and finally decided to go try it out. We loved the atmosphere, it was very comfortable and the décor wasn't loud or overwhelming. The cocktails were delicious, we tried a variety from their grape infused gin and tonic, dirty martini and one of their house wines. We also had their potato appetizer which was so great and the perfect size to share! Tonight was their pasta night so for $30 you get the pasta meal of the day with your choice between one of three wines. I had the crab pasta and it was to die for with gracious serving sizes. For my wine I like something semi sweet almost dry but my server was so kind and found one that suited me and it went amazing with my meal, even bought a bottle to take home. My husband got the rib eye and he found that delicious as well. Overall we had an amazing date night with great food, service and ambiance and will definitely plan to come back!

A hidden gem next to Tucker Garage, The Kabinet offers a curated dining experience that feels both elegant and personal. The set menu on Sundays keeps things simple—you just sit down and enjoy a beautifully crafted meal. Every dish is seasoned to perfection and cooked with care. The vegetables were vibrant, the protein was tender, and the overall vibe warm and welcoming. The owner is present and genuinely engaged, which adds a rare, personal touch. A must-visit for anyone looking for a thoughtful, upscale meal in Easton.

This is a lovely restaurant with an abundance of amazing wines. Our server Al recommended wine for my husband and me. Both were absolutely delicious. The food was outstanding. Al recommended our starter, entree and dessert. The manager came and checked on us frequently. I cannot say enough to adequately describe our outstanding experience. We will never forget this incredible night out! Thanks Al!

Wow. In all honesty, this was the best meal I’ve had in the Lehigh Valley. It’s one of those places where everything you order is 10/10, and the team is extremely cordial and professional. Plating, dishes, silverware and even glasses have all been picked and paired, no detail was missed or has escaped. From appetizers to dessert- it was all fresh and delightful. Thank you, team Kabinett, for a great experience!
