Love Porters’.It’s the great welcome to the west ward. Perfect in summer for sitting outside cozy and winter for hunkering down. One of the beating hearts of this part of town that’s really thriving. Plants and coffee cafe, Pesca Peru, Mystery Box games. It’s totally worth the walk up Northampton street.

Was very busy for brunch on a recent Sunday. Got an Irish coffee and Bloody Mary to drink. Both got corned beef hash. Not the best, but was good. Only complaint was that the service (while friendly) was incredibly slow and they also up charged us $3 for gluten free toast without telling us about the charge.

Tried for the first time and was amazed at the quality and presentation of the food... the "oohs" and "yum's" that escaped from our mouths were very real, and we shared everything with each other.... appetizers, entree's, drinks, etc.My G.F. and I are "foodies" and although we are not critical of places, we find the level of quality we enjoy, hard to find... (sadly)This is not the case here. Porters' far exceeded our expectations. Quality, service, drinks, and atmosphere were "spot on".. ..The best part?.... it was worth the price.. yes....it is going to be in my list of "WE WILL RETURN"..Make reservations... get there early (parking is tricky)... go hungryCongrats to the new owners...

Porter's Pub is a great little restaurant for food and drink. I visit there many times. I recently went there when the pub was purchased by the new owners. True to their word, the food, atmosphere and service has not changed from the previous owners, which is a good.

We had a really great business lunch. The server was attentive to my special requests to my cheesesteak. Our food came out timely, everything was delicious and priced very competitively for the area. I'd definitely return again.

I am glad this turned into something positive ;) - We are invited to return and we will. Thanks again to the owners.Sorry, but the worst experience we've had in a long time. Here's why. We were greeted promptly and asked if we had a reservation. No, we did not, but asked if we could be done at 6:30. A reservation after us needed the table. We said no problem. We'd be done by 630 due to a show in town. This was 5:30. We sat down, waited about 15 min before drink order was taken. We had to ask for our dinner order to be taken. We are now approaching 6 PM. Dinner order taken. 6:15 we asked where dinner was. Trying to be done to accommodate the reservation behind us and to make the show in time. 630 dinner was not there. Asked again where dinner was and server said it was coming. We said we had to leave. Our dinner was offered to be put in a box. Going to the show, this wouldn't work. We canceled dinner, paid for three drinks after sitting for over an hour, and had no dinner. All we ordered was a salad, cheesesteak and burger. What was going on in the kitchen? What ever happened to the 630 reservation behind us? Not a good experience. ?
