What a wonderful, local brewery with great brews!

Craft breweries are a dime a dozen. Coal Country is whatever the opposite of that is.

Excellent beers, good food, friendly atmosphere.

This was our first time here. The food came out fast and was delicious!! Staff were friendly and helpful!! Beer on tap was also very good, with lots of choices!! I would definitely come back!!

First off, the folks who run this place are awesome. I’ve never been to a place that was this welcoming. Second, their beers are good. Honestly, they’re just good. I mean that in a good way. Meaning… they just do the classic styles.. good. Not everything has to be great. Just make good beer! They brew basic styles of beer that are just good. Too many other brewers try to add this, that and the other thing to the classics. And the style loses something. Coal Country just brew classic styles to the basics… and make them well… good. No frills. No muss. No fuss. Just really good examples of classic beer styles.

Oh… and if you want a real treat, visit their Coaltobetfest! Probably some of the best PA German food you’ll ever have! Prost!

Food is great. The bartender will pocket your money. So get a receipt. Had to too pay twice. Lessoned learned.

Stopped in here with a bunch of friends around lunchtime on a Saturday. Mike the owner was a fantastic host. Personable, attentive, and patient with our group's constant indecisiveness. Solid beers, good food and a very cool, comfortable place.

Great food and drinks, and friendly staff! Nice atmosphere that pays homage to the coal mining heritage of the community. Very clean bathrooms. Outside dining is an option. Their style of dining and bar tending put me in mind similar to that of the breweries in the finger lakes, sit where you want but order all food and drinks at the bar. This may not please some, however I'm sure this saves money that then is put into the quality of the goods they serve. We will definitely be returning. 😊 side note: we were welcomed when we came in and provided a run down on location of drinks on the menu and how to order. I guess for any newcomers, this definitely was helpful and made for a good customer experience. I cannot remember the name of the cocktail but the one with the peach ring is absolutely perfect. I ordered the Philly cheese steak, requested beer cheese on it and the works, delicious! Tried several beers my husband ordered, can't pick a winner because they were all good.

Customer service was by far the worst we ever received. The waitress was very rude when she came to get our drink order. After 40 minutes of waiting for her to come back to take our food order, we decided to leave. ( she never came back. She was hanging out at the bar talking, even when my husband tried to get her attention, she just ignored him) They were not busy at all to justify her not coming back checking on us.

The place is so much fun! The beer menu is huge, food is excellent, staff is efficient and they offer cool events such as trivia night, open mic, etc. we had their cherry beer, beach beer and burgers and enjoyed every bite/sip. Recommend!

Bluerasberry soda was great

The first time we came here we were so impressed. People were so super friendly, and the beer and giant pretzel was great. This last time, we came the last night of lent for the fish. Ever since I saw pics on FB, I was craving it. My husband and I were very disappointed. The fish was ok but a bit greasy. Same with the hush puppies. Perogies were probably the best part. The coleslaw was warm, and the Mac and Cheese was awful. It had no flavor, and most of the noodles were crunchy. Almost like they weren't even cooked. I had such high hopes. I'm 80% sure we were overcharged too. We weren't given an itemized bill and didn't think anything of it at the time. None the less, we will be back. It's a welcoming place. There is plenty of beer to try.

Great baked Haddock and pierogies!!! Love their own brew dark beer!! Great place to be without major commotion
