My girlfriend and I wondered in to Nanty Glo off the Ghost Town Bike Trail on Saturday April 4 during the COVID-19 lockdown. Almost all businesses were closed and we decided to bike thru town only to find Al's OPEN for takeout. We got to enjoy some delicious pizza slices, a cold drink and a piece of Al's delicious homemade pie. If you're biking in, make Al's a must-stop. You'll be supporting a great local business and enjoying some delicious food too!! RECOMMENDED!!!
Funky old counter-service diner operated solely by Al, it appears, who has a kind of Keith Richards vibe about him. Strombolis were fresh, hot and addictive. Bikers like us and the locals shared the 3 or 4 picnic tables.
