“First time my husband and I was there. Our granddaughter suggested it she loves their food. She is an EMT with Ebensburg. Had the beef taco it was great. My husband had their special hamburger said it was delicious. Will definitely go to this place again.”
“I'm a return customer. The food is typically on point. The service can be hit or miss (depending on how busy they are), but they are hiring so you have to give them credit for trying. I will continue to come back because I enjoy the food and atmosphere.”
“Best breakfast in Ebensburg. Sorry our station house but the food is just a little better. Most Sundays there is a line to be seated because it's the best place to eat breakfast in town.”
“Coal Country is my new favorite place. I don't typically go out much but after my first time I've been hooked. Food is amazing and beer is amazing as well. Great environment and everyone is very friendly”
“We have been eating at hoss's for years, with a good variety of food and children under 5 eating free. The many restaurants have been a life saver for even our picky children as we have been moving. This hoss's in ebensburg is one of the most clean and organized ones of the franchise we have visited. We hosted our sons third birthday there last night in the free banquet room and they were more than accommodating, the waitress was friendly and attentive to our group and even brought our son a birthday cupcake and sang to him. Will be stopping at this in the future for sure as we travel between Pittsburgh and home. Highly recommend!Kid-friendliness: Kids under 5 eat free from a full stock soup and salad bar, which helps with picky eaters. They always offer coloring pages and a child friendly menu and go out of their way to provide a good family environment.”
“One of the best Strombolis in Central PA if not the best. I get the Italian Stromboli every time I'm there and it never disappoints. Really big for a "small" and great price. A small will easily feed 2 people. Take out or eat in its always awesome Boli!”
“Not a bad place in a rural area tried their #10 cheesesteak omelet. Had a family breakfast here and it was delicious. It took awhile due to the large crowd we had so it was 1 hour and a half till our food came out. Service is wonderful. They also have a pool table. Pinball machine, claw machine, and Pacman.”
“1st time and we will be going back. Needed a place to meet friends, and I like to find "locals" established places to find real food and avoid all the customers who fill chain restaurants. This is it. So Tuesday nights were Taco special and they are easy to eat, very good. They make their own "soft shell". Also tried their famous pizza. It deserves your trial, we really liked it. Specials on different nights. Their fresh cut fires excellent. Prices very fair. Read other reviews, look at the pics and plan on going to Clark Powell's! You will be rewarded for finding a local non chain restaurant.Vegetarian options: They will cook to your specifications and/or modify their regular items.Wheelchair accessibility: Sidewalk level roll in, all on that level, no steps.”
“Here's the secret to amicis...They make homemade donuts. Not only do they give you the donut but they give you the donut hole as well..Their entrees are phenomenal..and the service is kind and fast. Not to mention the beautiful view of downtown and it's surrounding areas.”
“We've been here before and it was counter service only (order at the counter, eat at the table or carry out). This visit we were told to seat ourselves and the waitress promptly waited on us.If a menu has spinach artichoke dip we always order it, it was just ok. Honestly it has a cardboard box type taste to it, like one you'd buy at the grocery store and pop in the microwave. The chips were stale tasting and you could tell they were tossed in the fryer and some weren't crisped back up. We wouldn't order it here again.Pomodora Campanelle was the daily special good and came with a side salad and bread. It was good.Veggie calzone was also delicious, despite ordering a small, half went home with me. But I did have a bit of spinach dip and chips. There was only 1 waitress and despite a small crowd she was prompt, we did wait about 10 minutes for our check. There was a busy spell with take out orders and others paying at the counter (she took our check/payment at the table). We'll be back.Vegetarian options: Veggie calzone was very good”
“The cowboy flavored wings are amazing. Service is always good. Large eating space, friendly staff. We live in Somerset County, and the foxes here don't have the cowboy flavor, so it's a nice change when we're in town. I might have to see about getting a container to go.”
“Incredibly unique experience, excellent food, wonderful service. The atmosphere smells clean and fresh, Just stunning. The banquet room downstairs was on unbelievably gorgeous! Clean as a whistle just every detail is beautiful! I was especially impressed by the shuffleboard which was like glass and I love shuffleboard! I can't wait to go back.”
“I've been to a lot of Applebee's in multiple states. This one is my favorite because of the environment, the employees/ management, and of course the food. You got to try the bourbon chicken and shrimp.”
“Nice place for lunch or dinner. They have a great selection of drinks and beers. Also, they have an extensive menu with a wide selection of different meals. I had the Stuffed Ham & Cheese Pretzel. The ambiance on the bar side is somewhat better than the restaurant side, but both were quite nice. I'll definitely be going there again when I get through the area.”
“WOW! A must try! Service was efficient and helpful. A great selection on the menu, well prepared and presented. My food was perfectly cooked, well presented and delicious. I definitely recommend this restaurant!”
