“This is my go to ice cream place for sure! They have so many choices to choose from. One of my favorites is probably the (Philadelphia water ice) it is has i think 6 flavors or more, and the texture is so unique. An other thing I really like is the upside down banana split. The portion size for it is amazing, one person could not eat all of it at one time that's how huge it is, but over all I would definitely recommend this place!”

“We drove about 45 mins to try this pizza shop that was recommended to us by a few people.I will say it was worth the drive. We got a sampler of four different toppings. They were all good (meatball, seafood, cheesesteak and Italian sub) but the Italian sub was the best. We will definitely be getting that one again. Great service and great prices.”

“The Hood made his way to Ebensburg PA and found this fantastic place!!! Actually The Hood was here before many years ago. However the changes they made has made the atmosphere here awesome! The food was delicious from before and now is just as delicious. Compliments to the chef!! He is fantastic and his food incredibly delicious! Our service was incredible. She was very prompt with our drinks and our food! If The Hood could give a 10 I would for this place. You know what The Hood will give them a 10!! They make you feel welcomed! Service 10 Atmosphere 10 food 10+! As always take care, be safe and be kind to one another. Remember to follow The Hood. Adventure and great food are out there.”

“The only worker I seen in the establishment was manning the cash register and cooking and still managed to remain extremely kind and friendly, even when we had no idea what we wanted to order and changed our minds several times. We forgot to mention we wanted these yummy fried chips were used to getting as an appetizer from our regular place before we paid but instead of charging us for them he just threw them in for free and also insisted we grab a couple drinks on the house. I’ve never had such a pleasant experience at a Chinese place before, and in my experience the workers at most places like this tend to be unfriendly and even rude. The best part was by far the food though! It was HOT, fresh, and hands down the absolute BEST Chinese food I’ve ever eaten (might not mean much coming from a scrawny gal like myself but I used to be 300+ lbs and trust me, I’ve eaten my fair share of Chinese cuisine ???) I got the sesame chicken which is my usual order no matter where I go but THIS HIT SOOO DIFFERENT. And I’ll leave you with one final note; ORDER EXTRA EGG ROLLS, trust me, you’ll regret it if you don’t… we didn’t and we said multiple times throughout the evening that we wished we had more!”

“What a fantastic experience! We live locally (I grew up in Lilly) and have heard great things about The Boxcar. Today my mom and I went for lunch. The railroad theme was perfect inside. I got a Turkey Club sandwich/fries and my mom got a Pizza (Ham)burger/fries. The Turkey wasn't just thin deli turkey, it was thick and delicious. The bacon was perfectly cooked and there was a bacon aioli that was delicious. The fries were great, fresh cut and cooked perfectly. My mom loved the pizza burger. Our service was excellent also. We'll definitely be coming back, the menu was huge, lots more choices we could've had. I highly recommend coming here, everything was excellent!Parking: Parking right across the street”

“Great Subs! I got a turkey bacon ranch, I enjoyed it very much. My wife loves the Engineer, she chooses it almost every time she comes to Firehouse Subs. I usually try something new each time we visit and have enjoyed each choice! The owners filled the building of the former Schoenfeld's department store with their own antiques and collectables while keeping the inside of the store intact. Unfortunably, lunch is not available any more, but there is a coffee bar with baked goods and an ice cream parlor featuring many delicious flavors. The prices for the items on sale are extremely reasonable. It's easy to see that running this place is a labor of love for the owners and not just a way to make a fast buck. Will definitely return!”
