Lovely old school Italian pizza joint. Been around for decades and still delivers high quality stuff. Got a Large DNF with olives and anchovies on the side and a large half pepperoni/cheese and both were delicious. Lovely thin crust.Right now, takeout only. But if keeping places like this around matters to you, show your support and get some food and grab a gift card for when they open back up to dine in.

I highly recommend this place! They have the best pizza. They also rock a great staff and a great menu. And they have the best pizza. There are even banquet rooms available for your next event.

Ungrateful owner who went out of his way to belittle his customers hosting a party at the (outdated) facility. He felt compelled to puff his chest out toward females-- real tough guy behind the bar. He was more concerned with digging his heels in and justifying his pompous actions, of course, not until after the substantial tabs were paid. An absolute joke. Avoid.

My daughter was treated very unproffessionally by the owner. The day that was supposed to be special was ruined. Won't be back..ever.

Our second favorite place for pizza in the Ebensburg area . The salads are huge and the homemade dinner rolls are amazing.

Having been gone from Ebensburg for 30 years, it's still "home" and it's great to visit familiar places.The current proprietors are the grandchildren of the original family, who worked hard to make and keep their restaurant successful. Many of the recipes that people rave about to this day--all aspects of their special pizza, the giant rolls, deep-fried mushrooms, salad dressings and others--were created by "Miss Amy", as she was known. She was a classy lady from a bygone era, always paying short visits to each table to check on her customer's satisfaction and to show appreciation. Her husband, Tony, ran the bar and also was always sure to say hello to everyone. They are missed but people can still visit the restaurant they created, complete with all their great recipes, fair prices and excellent service. The foods above are by no means the limit...their menu has a lot of variety. I've never, in my hundreds (maybe 1000+) of visits, had anything that wasn't delicious. Needless to say, Penn Gables is a go-to whenever I can; it's the same for countless more people. To me, the place is like Ebensburg's version of where a Philadelphia native's favorite place is to get cheese-steaks...

Although it is old and the decor hasn't changed it is still an awesome place to eat. Our waitress was Ginny and she provided us with excellent service. The atmosphere was quiet and clean. The lighting was cool but I could still read the menu. Our food was hot and delicious
