Food is decent. Its not the best diner food Ive ever had. Some of it can be a little bland and they use a lot of premade things (like no burgers made from freshly ground meat, and potato pancakes that were really just mini hash browns).
I have passed this place for years as I travel to visit friends in PA but I usually don't travel around mealtimes. Today, I did and stopped here for dinner.The place is bigger than you expect and still has the late 1970's to early 1980's diner decor. I am so incredibly grateful for George, the owner of the Trivet. I went in with my three children, all under the age of four, the youngest being 3 months old. This was my first time taking the kids out to dinner by myself. Service and food were quick and great as always, but what really blew me away was about 2 hours later when George knocked on the door to my home. I had left my wallet at the restaurant.
