Bay House Oyster Bar & Restaurant

Our waitress was so sweet and accommodating. We didn’t realize how hot it was when we asked to sit outside, and she happily moved us inside without any issue. The food was absolutely delicious—I’m convinced you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The restaurant is beautiful, with a gorgeous lakeside view. We’ll definitely be back!

My husband & I stayed over the 4th of July across the street and stopped in for coffee. We were immediately impressed by the warm, inviting atmosphere and the beautiful waterfront location. Sitting along the bay, the views are relaxing and make it the perfect place to start your day or unwind with a meal. We stayed for brunch. I had the oysters rockafeller and he had a breakfast bowl. The food was outstanding. So good we returned for dinner! Heather waited on us and made our experience even more memorable by taking the time of giving us a tour of the restaurant. There is outside seating, rooms for private events, a rooftop deck with spectacular views, and a must see speakeasy! Her genuine hospitality and enthusiasm made us feel like valued guests from the moment we walked in.

The coffee was expresso and was excellent as well. They also have a wood fired argentinian grill. My husband had a delmonico steak for dinner and all of their steaks are prepared this way. He said it was the best steak he's ever had and he's eaten a lot of steaks! I had the scampi which was decadent! The atmosphere was outstanding and the service is exceptional which is difficult to find anywhere today. If you're looking for a place with beautiful waterfront view, great cocktails, exceptional service, and excellent food, this is definitely the place you'll want to visit. We can't wait to return!

I was really disappointed with the lobster risotto, especially at a $50 price point. For that price, I expected lobster to be the highlight of the dish, but it felt more like a large bowl of rice with a small garnish of seafood. There was maybe an ounce of lobster buried in roughly 24 ounces of risotto.

The flavor was fine, but the value and execution were way off. When a menu advertises “lobster risotto” at a premium price, the lobster should be the star — not something you have to search for. Unfortunately, this felt overpriced and underwhelming.

Lovely location, although parking was a bit of a challenge. However, the construction in the area won't be there forever. The food was outsanding!

I had an amazing experience here! From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding, and the food exceeded all expectations. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. You can really tell they take pride in the quality of their ingredients and presentation.

Our server Benjamin made the entire experience even better. He was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive. He was a cute one, too. His excellent service and genuine hospitality made us feel welcome and well taken care of.

Between the incredible food, relaxing atmosphere, and exceptional service from Benjamin, this was one of the best dining experiences I've had in Erie. I highly recommend Bay House and will definitely be back!

Very nice restaurant on the lake. All the staff and hostess were super friendly. Our waitress was amazing! I got the fish and chips and it was very good. Next time we are in Erie. I would definitely stop back in for some good seafood 🦞

Food is always overcooked and for whaaaaaaat reason they keep adding Spanish/tex-mex spins on classics like crab cakes 😒

Fantastic food with an amazing view! I had the shrimp flatbread for lunch with plenty to share. Shrimp was ample and cooked well--not tough as it can be when overcooked. They have a great bartender and lots of cocktails and mocktails. I had the yuzu--which was a delight for the sweet-tooth--like drinking yuzu ice cream!
