My husband and I enjoyed our Valentine's dinner one day early at the 814 Chophouse and we were very pleased. We used our Erie Fine Dining card. Our food was delicious including shrimp cocktail, Tuscan bread with wonderfully infused olive oil, Caesar salad with anchovies, and a wonderful Spanish red wine Campo Viejo Tempranillo suggested by our professional and knowledgeable head server who truly has a passion for her craft. My husband had a perfectly prepared steak with a

Very good steak and great service. Will definitely go again.

Very disappointed. Soup salty, potato seemed old, bacon inside too big. Prime rib chewy and too spicy with seasoning. Charged for extra bread.

Very good dinner but expensive. Heads up, all sides do not come with the dinner. So you have to pay for them separately! The sides are large and tasty, but they should be included with the dinner. My wife enjoyed her steak, but my steak had a lot fat and was tough. Gratuity is automatically included on the bill. Atmosphere is nice. Service is ok, but the waitress tries to get you to order more sides to increase your bill. (Higher the bill, higher the gratuity).

Wow, what a nice surprise, since I hadn’t heard of this place till just recently. Warm, friendly atmosphere. Sever Rikki extremely attentive and knowledgeable about wines. Fun Girls Night Out! Delicious filet and amazing lobster Mac and Cheese.

Really wanted to give this place 5 stars as soon as we were seated. Nice decor, friendly staff. Unfortunately our steaks were so salty we couldn't even eat them. We were offered to have them remade, but couldn't live with the fact that those steaks were going to be thrown out. Animals don't need to suffer unnecessarily. Very surprised and disappointed in the steaks.

The food was average at best & way overpriced. After reviewing my bill the next day, I noticed a fee of $20 for “open food” which I found out is a service charge added on to the bill for basically just going in there to eat. Disappointed that they snuck in a hidden fee on top of the overpriced food. Will not go back again.

We had dinner there last night and the food was actually really good. I ordered the filet which was slightly over cooked to my liking but still very flavorful. The truffle ravioli were amazing and the classic Caesar salad was tasty. However, the location was gross. The floor was dirty, it smelled musky and the bathroom was like a dated high school bathroom. There was no background music or ambiance. The worst part was the service. We waited forever just to get our wine and then even longer to take our orders and inevitably awhile longer to get our food. Our waitress had no concept of how to pour wine. I would not go back.

It was our anniversary. We desided to splurdge and eat here. The waitress was awesome the service was great! The food was excellent! We got the porterhouse steak for 2. It was the best steak we have had in a long time. Done just right and very tender my hubby got lobster mac and cheese for a side and I got mm ash potatoes with butter. We luved both. we were to full to even think about it. So we took it to our room for later. Had To Taste It When We Got There omg! It was awesome (berry churros) I only had 2 bites. Lol
