Hands down, my favorite Mexican restaurant within a 200 mile radius of erie. Doesn't matter what you get...its all perfect. Great portions and reasonably priced, too! The owners are such great people. They are the type of people who you want to make sure their restaurant thrives by being a repeat patron. Places like Torreros or El Canelo aren't even in same league as El Amigo. If you are from Erie...you know El Amigo is ELITE Mexican cuisine

I visited this restaurant with my coworkers on a work conference. They have Great tasting food in a clean and welcoming environment. The staff was very nice and helpful, they came back to check on us regularly to make sure we were enjoying our food. Food was freshly made and it was in large portions & perfectly seasoned. Best of all, the pricing was very affordable compared to most other restaurants in other cities I've visited. Whenever my job sends me to Erie again, this is my go to restaurant!! Their bathroom was clean too. I can keep going on and on about this lovely restaurant lol. 7Stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!
I want to start off saying the food was great once my order was fixed. I ordered the steak and carnitas fajitas, what I was served was chicken fajitas with one or two pieces of steak and carnitas. When we tried to get the servers attention she outright ignored us. Once we got her to come over I had to convince her that the plate was 90% chicken. And we were also sat without chips or salsa till we were able to ask someone else for them, I purposely made sure the first round came free because our toddler loves chips. Also the food took a long time to come out, I don't know why but if it's because the fajitas take longer that needs noted somewhere on the menu.

I got so excited when I realized you can get tacos al pastor here. It's so hard to find them and when I got them, I was thrilled. They were super-duper good. And the horchata was 10/10.
Erie's lucky to have such a good Mexican restaurant right downtown. It's definitely a spot that I'd suggest everyone go to. I know everyone else raves about the other local Mexican restaurant -- and that one is good, too, don't get me wrong -- but this one is my favorite of the two.
