Unique and quaint atmosphere with a ton of different hot dog flavors and apps! Went during winter season and the hole place was decked out in decorations.

My daughter had 2 nuggets from sheetz left in a bag and a water. We are at a soccer tournament and I wanted to try a hot dog. They refused service bc of the outside food...by the time I ordered she would have been done. I was going to tell the team and parents to stop in for dinner later. We will go somewhere else. Always try and support local business. Should have let her finish the nuggets

We have never had a bad experience eating at Lucky Louie’s. My kids love going and hanging out! I have a sensitive stomach and have never had any issues with any of the food I had!
Going out on a limb a bit. We were traveling and needed to eat something. My navigator/wife's great at finding good spots for any situation. She said Lucky Louie's. I asked what they do, and she said hot dogs!
Had a little trouble finding it, and ended up entering the liquor store next door. Walked through it and out the front to Louise's. Have to admit i was confused when we got in. It had this HUGE cooler on the left, with a couple on barstools in front of us, plus a longish narrow high top, and a continuation of the bar on the right. Guy behind the bar in front. Signs, lights... stuff.
On the side were descriptions all their offerings. Something for everyone. A hot dog lover's dream. We had the Reuben Dog and the Dixie Normous, with a side of seasoned fries.
Tasted the fries first. They were perfect. Good crispy on the outside, soft inside, just the right amount of seasoning... perfect. The dogs were brilliant. I'd have liked a bit thicker one (I like the ones Costco sells), but it was sliced and butterflied, so that's likely my misconception. Hers was over the top, and she had a beer. I was driving, and while a beer would have been ok, it was after 4 and we had another couple hours to go.
Would be happy to visit again to try a couple more.

Some of the best food, beer, and service in town. The yinzer is a must try. The parm fries and poutine were both top notch and seasoned perfectly. The parking in the front can be a bit tight, but there's a lot in the back for when it's busy.
My only small suggestion is that I wish the outdoor tables were directly underneath the heaters in the winter. Our group ended up standing underneath them most of time away from our table.
Overall though, everything else made up for that one mild inconvenience.

This place is amazing. All the hotdogs are good, and they're super accommodations for dietary restrictions. They have gluten free buns (they're actually good) and they can substitute a bunch of things for dairy free alternatives. I'm not vegan, but they have a bunch of vegan options too. It's very affordable, and the staff is always nice.
My wife and I stop here every time we drive through Erie.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free buns, vegan hotdogs, dairy free/vegan alternatives for toppings.

I've always loved this place for as long as I've been in Erie. It's truly a hidden gem within the city and something special. Unfortunately the prices have gotten a bit out of hand recently and that has really reduced the frequency of my visits.
