I don't normally write reviews, but I feel like I have to warn people about this place, especially people of color. The vibe here is incredibly uncomfortable, and it's 100% coming from the staff. There's a reason why there are multiple reviews mentioning discrimination with the owner responding with zero accountability. That being said, it is Erie....and these guys are lucky they have a business in this small city. No way this type of bullshit would survive anywhere more populated.

Imagine your DJ being a fan of a team that didn't like who won the NBA finals and ended up kicking out and getting in a verbal altercation with such fan, who respectfully went up to the booth to request a song getting kicked out? Unbelievable, horrendous service, maybe hire DJs who have some ball sack on them to take the heat. Sorry Boston lost, but be a professional.

Staff was great, the place itself is a cool atmosphere, chose a very uncrowded karaoke night in checking it out so was underwhelmed. Would be great for a large crowd.

A security guard by the name of Eyvar Robles discriminated against me at the door one night out, trying to have a good time at McCoys. For a place that has a $5 cover, you would not expect this kind of treatment. If you are guy trying to go to McCoys, tread lightly, because they are out to get you. This is not the first time I have had an issue at McCoys, with no instigation on my part. Not worth the money even if you do get in, go somewhere that isn't McCoys.

I always have an outstanding experience at this bar. The music was exceptional, the atmosphere was vibrant, and the overall energy was unmatched. A special commendation to the bartenders for their excellent service and to the security team for ensuring a safe and welcoming environment. The level of hospitality here is truly top-tier.

low key a wytes-only bar

taking a star off because of the no sunglasses policy and odd interaction with security. didn’t know sunglasses weren’t allowed going in, had them on my face while i was on the dance floor and a bouncer shined a laser pointer in my face (??) from across the bar for about a minute before a security guard came up from behind me, put both hands on my shoulders (i’m a girl) and told me firmly to take them off. weird. other than that, good music, good vibes, and i like that they play music videos on a screen on the dance floor
My friends and I were McCoys only customers for about 2 hours and when we came back later to dance some more they wouldn’t let us in because of my friends shorts. Driving away their customers and making new rules as the night goes. Shitty to be honest.
