“I ordered General Tso's combination platter, Boneless Spare Ribs and Vegetable Lo Mein. The food was ready in less than 15 minutes. The lady on the phone was helpful when I ordered and clarified each item. I was there at 8:30 pm, the parking lot was pretty dark and most stores were closed on the strip mall where the store is located. There's a laundry mat and seafood restaurant on opposite sides on Mr China. Cars park along the sidewalk in the front of the stores to pick up their orders. Be careful pulling in and out. After I parked I witnessed a car pulling in as a mini van was pulling away from the curb, they b nearly collided.Parking lot hijinks aside, I recommend the food at this restaurant.“

Every Chinese restaurant i ate at I always find the fried rice to lack flavor or the rice was just either hard or mushy but this place imo was just right. The lo mein was excellent as well. Wish this place was in North Carolina where I live. Ate here 3 times in the week I stayed out here in Philly.“

“I got the barbecue ribs and the flavor is great, I'm not a big fan of peas in my fried rice but their fried rice is okay. The soup looks really good, and they gave me the crispy wonton noodles. They also let me swap my egg roll for a spring roll which I prefer so that was really nice. The people that work in that shop are super nice and very helpful. I found out that they do actually deliver within a 5 mi radius. I think it'll be easier for me to order delivery next time parking was a bit of a pain.“

“Tucked away in a small shopping center, very easy to overlook, sits a gem of a restaurant. They have multiple cuisines to choose from, Japanese, Chinese, and Thai. The footprint of the restaurant is small, but it is so thoughtfully arranged and decorated. I wish I had found this place sooner and will definitely continue to visit.“

I am a student of Martial Arts for many years and a Trenton firefighter, so I have a lot of respect for the Chinese people and the food. “After our go-to place sold to new owners during covid, we had been struggling trying to find a Chinese spot that actually had good food....then we found Joyful Garden. We have ordered more items than we normally do just to try out different things amd everything has been excellent. The only thing that wasn't a hit with my husband was the honey wings....he didn't care for the sauce on the wings and texture of the wings. Otherwise this place has great food, at great prices. “We have our usual Chinese place, but we thought we'd give this one a try because it was conveniently on our way home from a service. I ordered the sezchuan tofu. My husband got vegetable chow mein and we also got a side of vegetable fried rice. The sezchuan tofu was probably the best Chinese takeout I've ever had. It wasn't too spicy to eat but had enough kick to make my sinuses clear. The fried rice was too sticky and didn't seem fried. It was lacking in seasoning and flavor but the vegetables in it were big and chunky. My husband's chow mein looked great but lacked sauce. It was all fresh. I'll def be back for the tofu dish.

But if you notice the dishes they prepare aren't Chinese food it's American food just cook their way and the texture is great. The chicken is crispy and the beef fried rice is good as well I also love the shrimp and broccoli ?? general tso chicken with yellow fried rice. the ribs isn't up to my standard .really haven try any other dishes yet but next order I'll try the egg foo young .
