“Quick friendly service, tasty food, good price, large portions. A take out spot, but they do have one big table that I was able to sit at the eat some before getting back on the road. I had the sweet and sour chicken combo.Edit Feb 2023: I ended up moving just down the street from here, and this is my FAVORITE restaurant at now. The crab rangoons are the best. The family running it is great. The woman at the counter is always so friendly and helpful. Thanks!“

They charged me $70 for (L) Pork fried rice, (L) Rib Tips, (L) low mein, chicken wings, (L) Soup and 2L Soda. I’ve ordered the same at several other restaurants for about $55. Definitely overpriced.“

Food is priced well for the quality and we usually get a mix of Sushi, Japanese appetizers and Thai dishes for the adults and American Chinese food for the kids as they have plain lo mein, fried rices and combinations which are better suited for a younger palate.“

“I ordered General Tso's combination platter, Boneless Spare Ribs and Vegetable Lo Mein. The food was ready in less than 15 minutes. The lady on the phone was helpful when I ordered and clarified each item. I was there at 8:30 pm, the parking lot was pretty dark and most stores were closed on the strip mall where the store is located. There's a laundry mat and seafood restaurant on opposite sides on Mr China. Cars park along the sidewalk in the front of the stores to pick up their orders. Be careful pulling in and out. After I parked I witnessed a car pulling in as a mini van was pulling away from the curb, they b nearly collided.Parking lot hijinks aside, I recommend the food at this restaurant.“

“The food was good overall, although my order was incorrect. The crab rangoon was excellent and definitely the highlight of the meal. The beef with onions was very good, and the lo mein was excellent as well—though I feel like lo mein is pretty hard to mess up. The spring rolls were a bit disappointing this time. They’re usually much crispier, but on this visit they were somewhat mushy. Despite the issues, I still enjoyed the meal.“

I am a student of Martial Arts for many years and a Trenton firefighter, so I have a lot of respect for the Chinese people and the food. I had to see how well the food and business were in that location. Honestly, the cleanest Chinese Restaurant in the Area that I know of, Bathroom, Service and food 😋. Well done. Arrives hot when delivered. Good place. There’s another Chinese restaurant a block away but I like China Garden much more.“

“After our go-to place sold to new owners during covid, we had been struggling trying to find a Chinese spot that actually had good food....then we found Joyful Garden. We have ordered more items than we normally do just to try out different things amd everything has been excellent. The only thing that wasn't a hit with my husband was the honey wings....he didn't care for the sauce on the wings and texture of the wings. Otherwise this place has great food, at great prices. “We have our usual Chinese place, but we thought we'd give this one a try because it was conveniently on our way home from a service. I ordered the sezchuan tofu. My husband got vegetable chow mein and we also got a side of vegetable fried rice. The sezchuan tofu was probably the best Chinese takeout I've ever had. It wasn't too spicy to eat but had enough kick to make my sinuses clear. The fried rice was too sticky and didn't seem fried. It was lacking in seasoning and flavor but the vegetables in it were big and chunky. My husband's chow mein looked great but lacked sauce. It was all fresh. I'll def be back for the tofu dish.

But if you notice the dishes they prepare aren't Chinese food it's American food just cook their way and the texture is great. The chicken is crispy and the beef fried rice is good as well I also love the shrimp and broccoli ?? general tso chicken with yellow fried rice. the ribs isn't up to my standard .really haven try any other dishes yet but next order I'll try the egg foo young . “I did an order delivery tonight and it's probably enough for three or four nights. I ordered directly from the store..The delivery came within 30 minutes and the lady I spoke to to make the order was very nice before that. I got some steamed chicken dishes with sauce on the side. I asked for brown rice instead of white rice and it was only a dollar per serving. I also got pork with snow peas and it came perfectly beautifully steamed even though i didn't specify that but it's exactly how I like it. Also lo mein as well. All of this with delivery fee and tip totalled about 60 or $65. And the food tastes just great. I am so happy I ordered from them and this is the second time I did so and had forgotten about them for a while. I rate this as the best Chinese delivery food in the area.
