“Stopped in on a whim, I'm a out of Towner and was seeking advice for things to do in the area. Bruce the Bartender was very friendly and courteous. He quickly gave me advice on the local places to visit off the beat and path. Place seemed very clean, all the customers were very nice and welcoming. Nice selection of beers on tap as well as bottled and canned beer. Decent selection of spirits, top shelf and rail. Nicely decorated for the Holiday Season. ATM available in establishment, pool table and good music, large televisions and cigarette machine, although I saw no one smoking in bar. They do sell beer for off site consumption. The banter between the clientele is funny and heartwarming. Bruce the bartender clearly enjoys his job and seems well respected by all in the bar. Place is big on Veterans. This place is a Gem. You couldn't ask for a more down to earth, friendly and incredibly welcoming place and the beer is cold“

“I really enjoyed my visit here! I went on a date with a guy and we both really enjoyed our food, service and the atmosphere of this little bar. I got a vodka soda and a hot honey chicken sandwich and it was to die for. Topped with pickled onions, I was in heaven!!? I’ll definitely be back. Thanks Manoa Tavern! “

“I live down the street from this place and I really enjoy coming here. It doesn't get too crowded and the drinks are really cheap. It is a smoking bar, so be prepared. They make great sandwiches, but the kitchen closes pretty early. The bartenders are always on point and nice, and the other patrons are friendly. They have shuffle bowling, pool, and darts, too. Check it out if you're in the area and feel like hanging out at a gem if a dive bar.“

“No food is served because you'll go to BURKE'S for a warm friendly hello ice cold beer and great conversation with 5 TV's to watch all the local sports games and the pool table is great or the shuffle board table will always have stiff competition going on. Stop in for great conversation and cold beer.“

“I went there yesterday and this girl working there was giving me an attitude.i never had a problem like this with anyone else anywhere else and it wasn't that big of a deal either.she gave me the check and said have a nice day before I paid her and I laughed while saying" hold on I still have to pay you " she immediately started giving me dirty looks while condescendingly looking at me like what are you talking about?I tell her I have a $50 bill I need change back so I can tip you gives me an even dirtier look and sayd ooookaaaySo I explain to her it's not that big of a deal I'm sorry if I came off like I was insulting you but you don't have to talk to me like that and give me an attitudeThen she tells me I'm not allowed there anymore.i had 2 beers ,a sandwich ,was there for no more than 20 minutes and a nice conversation with three other patrons.In no way do I deserve that kind of treatment and and after she told me that I let her know that she's making this place lose business . Unless she owns the place she needs to realize why she's there and what her job is and that's to make people feel welcome and to help this place make money not drive people away“

“I been going to Mickey's for over 30 years. I took my Sean to the dentist across the street. So I wandered in and all the friends I made back in the day were there and remembered me. The bartender remembered the day my wife Patrice died, I held her in my arms til her last breath. Her will to live was so powerful that she pulled the whole oxygen tent into her mouth.When she finally let it out that was it.I told everyone that I was staying. Eventually people stated to leave but I wouldn't let go of my precious girlI couldn't accept it. Our Heather finally had to leaveI stayed and held her until she lost all her color and turned to ice. I realized she was gone. And I finally could stop cuddling her like she loved.I walked out of that hospital in a trance. I drove down to Mickey's and walked in but I couldn't talk. The guys knew something was wrong. They were giving me space . I got a vodka and went to the front door to just gaze at the sky. The bartender came over and asked if I was alright. Stood in the doorway with me.Almost instantly the sky opened up and the fiercest hail storm We ever seen just came outta nowhere and everyone was in awe, gaping at the intensity and I turned around and said Patrice just died and these are the tears of heaven ? ?They were stunned, they all loved her!!Anyone that knew her loved her. You could not help it. I was the luckiest man in the world ⚘️ and suddenly she was gone. Beem 15 years and I still grieve.I cry every time I have to talk about her.ICry when I think about her. So today in Mickey's I was overwhelmed with emotions when they welcomed me and remembered that Hailstorm . I cried uncontrollable. I am just trying to get this out my friends. Sometimes it helps“
