Beer is excellent, food is good, but out server was aweful. I had to go find him 3 times. He wasn't worried about our table at all.

I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for the excellent service and experience I had at your Gettysburg location on Saturday, September 20. I visited in the afternoon with a few friends after a long morning exploring the battlefield, and the visit truly exceeded my expectations.

From the moment we arrived, our server, Meadow, greeted us with a warm smile and genuine hospitality. She was knowledgeable about both the food and beer menu, and made outstanding recommendations that enhanced our experience. On her suggestion, I ordered the mountain lager, which paired perfectly with the yurt burger. The quality of the food and the freshness of the beer stood out and really reflected the care your team clearly puts into every detail.

What impressed me most was the atmosphere created by your staff. Despite a busy Saturday morning, Meadow and the rest of the team remained patient, professional, and personable. Their energy created a welcoming environment that made our group feel like valued guests rather than just another table. In addition, Richard went out of his way to make me tea for the road and was extremely kind in making sure I had everything I needed before leaving. It’s rare to find a place where the food, drinks, and customer service all align at such a high level.

I also want to compliment the cleanliness and organization of your space. From the bar to the dining area, everything was spotless, and the rustic aesthetic combined with modern touches made it a place where we wanted to take out time and enjoy ourselves.

Please extend my gratitude to Meadow and Richard who made our afternoon lunch so memorable. Experiences like this are the reason we will continue to recommend Appalachian Brewing Company to friends and colleagues who visit Gettysburg. The staff was fine. The food was fair. I am not usually a complainer. I do not drink alcohol and just wanted a Coke or Pepsi. The only option was a special house cola. It was terrible and tasted like medicine with an odd aftertaste. It would be nice to have an option of a canned Coke as a backup.
