Gift shop, restaurant, and another period restaurant in the cellar. I've never been disappointed with a meal here.
Wonderful dinner experience. Great service and food
Sarah was top notch. Highly recommend this place. Super old but worth it. They also do tours which is really neat.
Trying to find this place after dark wasnt easy; no signage at all. Was about to give it up but friends were waiting for me. Parking was awful, went around 4 times until someone pulled out. Ambiance was fine, service was fine.
Fantastic meal. Got the onion soup and Bleu cheestburgert
It was a great atmosphere and great drinks.
The onion soup is so good!
Had a wonderful experience in the fine dining area with friends. There were 4 in our party for my 70th birthday. Naomi, our wqitress was fantastic. So helpful, efficient, and funny! I think we were in the sewing room upstairs. The food was fab. The onion soup was very hearty and flavorful -very different from the French! Then I had an hordovre of Crab and avacado. There was such a large serving and very fresh. What ever that dip was - it was delightful. Thank you for a wonderful time!
Great food!
Food and drinks were absolutely amazing. The French onion soup was top notch, great crab cake and the pumpkin cheese was superb. The service was wonderful and they dress in period attire. Perfect blend of history and yummy food.

We had delicious food and great service when we visited last night. Our son thought it was so cool to eat in such a historical place.
Great food, great atmosphere and everyone was pleasant and great EXCEPT the male manager. Literally told time a suggestion About how they should place a curved small corner mirror at the corner entrance where everyone bottlenecks and runs into each other. Figured he of all people would understand that liability. He looked at me with a dead stare, said nothing and walked away. Beyond disrespectful and completely unprofessional.
if youre going on a weekend or during peak tourist season, make a reservation. we had a 2 hour wait when we went today. but it was worth it. food was yummy and staff were great!
We absolutely love the Dobbin House. The food is fabulous. We do lunch and dinner. Have been coming here for over 30 years. We keep trying other places but they simply can’t compare. Yes it is true what they say about the Kings onion soup. SUPERB!!! You just can’t go wrong.
My husband and I always dine at Dobbin House while visiting Gettysburg, which is conveniently close to outside of Harrisburg. The food, atmosphere, and service have always been excellent. We've been coming here at least biannually since before we got married. We typically order steak and crab cakes. The entrees come with delicious homemade warm bread, side salads, and baked potatoes. However, I would NOT recommend this restaurant for families with young children. Our 9 y/o was so excited for a "fancy dinner" and got dressed up. And our 1.5 y/o was very well-behaved in her high-chair. She was occupied with books, toys, coloring, etc. But a few other patrons were visibly and audibly judgmental of us having kids there. They were also rude to our server, who was lovely. We heard them scolding her about how long it took for their wine to arrive (which wasn't long). I worked in the service industry for years so I took notice of this. I'm still recommending it, because it's not the establishment's fault, but wanted to warn other parents that this isn't a child-friendly place, and the patrons can be very uppity. I know it's considered "fine dining," but our children are well-behaved and respectful, and we still deserved a nice night out. We spent around $160 and left feeling like we weren't welcome at all on our first experience of family vacation. It was such a disappointment because we have always loved going here. It was very off-putting. I could understand if our toddler was being loud, but we know how to handle her in public, and honestly the guys who looked like they just ended a round of golf were louder than she was! I forgot to take photos because I was so annoyed by the loud remarks about us having the audacity to bring our little ones there. They still get 5 stars because every other experience we've had there as a couple has been wonderful! Just wanted to give parents notice.
