The food was probably the worst I've ever seen at a buffet. my wife is currently sick in the bathroom, im probably not far behind her. Only a few items were edible and now we are regretting them as well. Staff was average, building is beautiful. Do not eat the food. There is also a water warning from the DEP. Do not drink, freeze, boil or let water stand. the food is sitting over steam trays. They only post the warning sign in the bathroom. Wonder why. good luck eating there.

Food was cold, tasteless and very dried out so options were limited. Way overpriced for the poor quality of food. Workers walking by the buffet could easily see the pot roast meat looked like beef jerky but when we left it was still the same pan as when we got there. Very, very disappointing.

Sadly my review will not be much better than many of the others. we were huge fans of the service and quality of the food when it was general picketts. we decided to eat an early lunch this past Saturday and were close to the barn, so why not give it a try. well that was our mistake. when we arrived, there not many tables seated and as someone who has a hard time walking I asked to be seated as close as possible and they were great with that accommodation. we sat and a waiter took our drink order, delivered the drinks and we didnt see him again until we went to th hostess stand an got them involved, and so we made our way to the salad part of the buffet line. to say disappointed is an understatement. there was hardly any lettuce or cheese on the line, the cucumbers were a tad slimy and they had all of the dressing mislabeled. I got a small salad and a scoop of potato salad. first bite of the potato salad and I was unable to bite through the chunk as it was still raw. finished what I could and went for main course. wow is all I can really say. food looked old and dry. the fried chicken was certainly fried to being dry. I tried the pork and saurkraut but had to spit it out as it tasted of old pork fat grease. the only redeeming portion was the Mac n Cheese. at 42.00 for 2 of us, it is certainly not worth the hype.

Not impressed, was big fans of General Picketts. This place doesn't hold a candle to what General Picketts was. The food was not their standards (maybe should look into getting hold of their recipes and quality standards), service was bad (had to go look for getting drink refill, many of items were mislabeled and put in places that make sense (gravy far from mashed potatoes, puddings not near desert bar) Been really missing our traditional Thanksgiving at General Picketts. The barn is not worth the price or the drive outside of town.

This is a beautiful place but what an utter waste of space. The building had a bit of a musty smell to it but we went down there anyway and stupidly did not check the buffet before being seated. This is supposed to be a special Sunday buffet, the price of which we were also not told. If this is their best, I would avoid this place at all costs. Everything was dry and from a bag from a freezer somewhere. The salad bar didn't look too bad but I didn't go there to eat salad. Even the desserts had zero redeeming qualities. I could detail the negative aspects of just about every single item on the buffet but just go someplace else to eat.

We was there on Saturday the food trays was empty We had to get the French toast off the grill because the lady didn't fill the tray before she left the biscuit wasn't done the dough stuck to your fork The icing on the rolls was sour Nobody was filling any trays We will not be back

If you are old enough to remember “ Ryan’s” buffet chain , that’s exactly what the food taste like. Tons of choices , but very poor quality. If you like packaged and canned food, then this place is perfect for you. Very disappointing for the price. It’s a beautiful building, beautiful location. Maybe the people who own it should actually eat there.

Me, my boyfriend and my stepdaughter went to the princess breakfast and had a fantastic time. The food was phenomenal. The building itself is stunning! We definitely will be back! 💖

I think some of these negative reviews are a little over-the-top… I went for the first time on Sunday. Was not aware reservations were recommended. They asked if we had one, we said no, and they politely sat us with no attitudes or rudeness. (Like mentioned in other reviews) Could the price be a litttttle less? Mmm Yeahh, but the food was still worth more than your local Hoss’s. Lots of options, everything was really good! The only thing that was lackluster was some of the meat, the heat lamps dried out some of the options. LOTS of healthy choices and LOTS of dessert options 🤪

Although I have never dined here, we have attempted to visit twice now!! Once, we were informed that the wait for the buffet would exceed two hours, and reservations were require to not have lengthy wait times. We decided to go someplace else with less of a wait time. We decided to try again and called to make a reservation, only to discover that reservations can only be made 24 hours in advance, which is not indicated on their website. We will not be attempting to visit again!!

The atmosphere here is absolutely stunning. But they slack in the food department. The carving station was unoccupied often, the food layout made no sense, the food was dried out and lacked in flavor. The icecream machine had liquid coming out of it, no refill on the soup that was low and who uses spaghetti noodles for chicken noodle soup? You make a mess just trying to scoop it out. The salad bar was the only thing that tasted delicious.
