I recently had the pleasure of working with Great American Caterers for a 50th anniversary dinner at our church event, and I cannot speak highly enough of the exceptional service they provided. From the moment we contacted them, their team was incredibly helpful and friendly, making the entire process a breeze.Their expertise was evident as they worked closely with us to figure out exactly what we needed, taking into consideration our preferences and budget.On the day of the event, I was amazed by how seamlessly everything came together. The set-up was impeccable, and their staff was not only professional but also attentive to every detail. It was a relief to not have to worry about a single thing - they took care of everything, from start to finish.The food was great and their exceptional service, helpful staff, and attention to detail truly made our event a memorable one.

Great American catered our wedding at Springfield Manor Winery in November 2023. Jeanne was great to work with! We enjoyed the tasting and chose a variety of foods for the cocktail hour and reception. The meals were excellent and the service was great. They also provide the bartenders and the ladies were very friendly to our guests. We received many compliments on the food, service and bartenders. Though this caterer is required by the venue, we were very happy with them!

Great American Caterers catered our 50 guest wedding at Hauser Hill this past weekend, and we couldn't be happier with their service. Brandy is absolutely wonderful to work with. She was professional, friendly, and so helpful throughout the entire planning process. We chose the combo crabcake and beef tenderloin dish which was not only delicious but beautifully presented and served at the perfect temperature. As a Marylander I've had a lot of crabcakes in my life, but these might have been the best EVER!! Our guests couldn't stop talking about how great the dinner and appetizers were. Thank you so much Brandy and the rest of the team at Great American Caterers!!!

Great American Catered and bartended my 120 person wedding and they did a fantastic job! The food was great and the staff helped make the day a huge success. I worked with Brandy leading up to the wedding, she was extremely responsive and the absolute best of all the vendors I worked with. I would recommend Great American Caterers to anyone who asks.

Bob and Edna catered our daughter's wedding. Everything was wonderful. They took care of every detail and all of the food was delicious. Bob told us we would not run out of food and we didn't. The bacon wrapped scallops and crab dip were the best we ever had. Ten stars.

My husband already sent in a review but I need to chime in...Bob and Edna took to every detail for our daughter's wedding reception from the initial tasting, setting up, to the wedding reception. The 125 guests were so impressed with the presentation of the reception, interactions with staff, to the delicious appetizers (famous crab dip, grand charcuterie, and bacon wrapped scallops)...to the most delicious dinner entrees. This being our first wedding to host, they knew exactly what to suggest to menus and numbers. They were very patient with us and all of our questions. Great American Caterers made the our daughter's wedding a most memorable evening. I would recommend for any event. Aside from their wonderful catering expertise they are just great people :)

From our tasting to our toasts, the care provided by Great American Caterers was top shelf service. My partner and I were looking for the quality of meal and service we are accustomed to find in D.C. even though we were looking for a venue that felt secluded and just for us.Coming from the District, we were nervous about our tasting because we knew that our requests were not all on the standard menu. Right away, we realized that Great American Caterers would make adjustments to our dietary restrictions while meeting our high level of expectations.They were able to provide us with their years of experience to help us pull of our day flawlessly. The advice they gave to do the toasts while our guests ate, made it so my brother in law could talk about childhood memories and no one had to worry about my grandfather's blood sugar.The filet was tender, the crab cakes were perfect without a shell in sight, all served hot to each and every one of our 150 guests,Including my uncle who is a chef and is critical of everything!My bestfriend who can't have gluten had their mushroom risotto and said it was the best meal she's ever had.Even my mother in law was happy because she was able to have scallops instead of crab cakes because she doesn't prefer crab.From start to finish we couldn't be happier. What a perfect way to start our lives together.

Great American Caterers catered our wedding in 2022 at Springfield Manor and did a terrible job. The food service was completely disorganized. Food coming out to guests (~60 total) took over and hour so many guests finished before other guests were even served. We specifically requested one of the meals, the flank steak, come with sauce as when we did our tasting, there was zero sauce on it. Many of the guests received no sauce at the wedding. Numerous servers dropped the fingerling potatoes on the floor and were not attentive. Even with a wedding planner doing her best to move along the service, the staff was unprofessional.The hired bartender as part of the catering package was incompetent. When provided with a recipe for a simple drink weeks in advance. The day of the wedding he said he didn't have the specific liquor we wanted (even though it was clearly on site and I pointed it out to him) and make the simple drink (rum punch) wrong multiple times by using whiskey instead.While Springfield Manor was a nice reception, the dinner service and service provided by the forced vendor, Great American Caterers, was abysmal.

They recently catered my wedding at Springfield Winery and did a fantastic job. The food was excellent and the service was even better. Thank you all! Really helped make the night special.

Would highly recommend! Used them for my wedding in June 2022. Jeanne P was amazing to coordinate with. Very responsive, flexible, and accommodating. For example, we basically customized our wedding meal following the tasting. She always confirmed decisions and followed through. We tweaked our plans throughout the process and they had no issues with it. All of our guests loved the food! The presentation was incredible! Couldn’t have asked for anything better.

Amazing Chicken Alfredo it was absolutely delicious ? and the students truly enjoyed it. I will be ordering again. Thanks for your kindness.

Great American Caterers catered our wedding last summer at Springfield Manor and did an AMAZING job! We colored outside of the lines a little bit with our menu for the reception and were very nervous when we went for our tasting if we would be able to get everything we wanted. Jeanne helped us and immediately quelled any of those concerns as they were able to execute our vision better than we ever could have imagined.

Amazing food, excellent sales and customer service staff, attentive and professional day of staff. Couldn’t have asked for better for my daughters wedding at Stone Manor on October 1.

Absolutely BEST caterer ever. So organized, helpful, and great to work with. The food is AMAZING!
