Pilger Ruh Brewing is a fantastic hidden gem in Gettysburg, located behind the Ragged Edge Cafe and down a tiny alley. It is a little hard to find but worth it, offering a quiet break from the main drag. The space is tiny and laid back, with a great outdoor space including a beautiful garden patio in the summer. A coffee shop is up front.
The brewery serves great brews, with specific mentions of the peach sour, the Luxie hazy, and the forest hills dark lager. They also offer a delicious mocktail. The atmosphere is great, putting people close together in a welcoming way. Live music plays some evenings. Visitors highly recommend it and note it is a perfect beer oasis, with many planning to return.
