This place gets a 10/5 simply because I told my son fell and I said the age old “have a nice trip” and a server passing by said “see you next fall.”
We didn’t realize that this wasn’t quick service, but they were super efficient and the food was excellent.
Also shout out to the guy who wasn’t our waiter, who helped grab us Togo boxes and such.

Benjamin and Hailey are the BEST bartenders I have ever had! Absolute best! SO GOOD! The food was delicious. I highly recommend the breaded avovocado. The burgers are huge and the sidewinder fries are some of the best I've ever had. They have a great selection of beers as well. The staff is friendly and overall the restaurant has a great atmosphere. Will definitely be back. Thank you!

Took our three kids (ages 4-10) here and we were very impressed. From the very first moment, where we were warmly greeted, to the incredible service, to the amazing food, this was an A+ experience.

If you are looking for a good, old fashioned, casual restaurant/pub, you cannot beat The Gettysburger. Excellent burgers, excellent service, and extensive choice of beers - they even have gluten free beer occasionally. Warning, they are packed to the gills on Saturday - all day. In warm weather, their outside seating is limited, but comfortable.

Get the apple burger, it is so stupidly delicious it's not funny. The muenster burger is incredible as well. This has become mine and my boyfriend's new fave spot in Gettysburg.
Their gluten free buns are really good, and not dry or crumbly like some can be. If you're celiac or if cross contamination is an issue for you, they have chips available for your side since the fries are cooked in a shared fryer.
We've sat at the bar both times we've been here and the bartenders are awesome, super chill and fun to chat with when they have a moment. The servers that were picking up drinks were all super nice too, and their relaxed dynamic creates a really fun environment. Absolutely recommend!
They've got great drinks and a good selection of beer too. Try the BBQ cocktail, it sounds weird but it's smoky and delicious in such a unique way!

Great food, great service, and great atmosphere!
My wife and I just ate there, from the moment we walked in it was like instant friends, the waiter we had, don't remember name, but bro was the life of the party. Cracking jokes and just being amazing. 10/10 if you're in the area hit this place up.

As soon as I walked in, I was hit with this amount of faboloso Cleaner it was very very strong... To the point it actually took my breath away... We must have sat there for at least a good 20 mins before the waitress came over introduced herself and took our drink order... The food was okay. We got an All American bacon cheeseburger on Texas. Toast bread, which was very buttery. I literally had to take the bread off and the fries are quite different, which some people like different so I will not rag on the fries... I personally would not go back for the simple fact that that faboloso cleaner is way to strong in the restaurant... Trust me. I like to be in a clean environment. And I wanna eat in a very clean restaurant. But that was definitely overboard with the smell...

The Gettysburger is a local gem, always great food, welcoming and they have a fantastic selection at the bar. The outside sections are perfect in the summer and they have pretty cool apparel too! I highly recommend this must visit restaurant.

A True Gem in the Community — The Gettysburger Co.
The Gettysburger Co. is everything a family‑owned restaurant should be: welcoming, genuine, and committed to excellence in every detail. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the pride and heart that this family pours into their business. It’s not just a place to eat — it’s a place where you’re treated like part of the family.
Their hamburgers are truly top notch. You can taste the quality in every bite — fresh ingredients, perfectly seasoned patties, and thoughtful combinations that elevate a classic favorite into something memorable. Whether you go for a signature burger or build your own, you can tell these recipes were crafted with care.
What truly sets The Gettysburger Co. apart, though, is their outstanding customer service. The staff especially our server Conner, goes above and beyond to make sure every guest feels welcomed and appreciated. They’re attentive without being intrusive, quick with a smile, and genuinely invested in making your experience exceptional. It’s rare to find a team that delivers this level of warmth and professionalism consistently.
If you’re looking for a place that combines incredible food with heartfelt hospitality, The Gettysburger Co. is a must‑visit. Highly recommended for anyone who values quality, comfort, and a true family touch.

We went for lunch and it was busy so we didn't expect fast service, but after waiting for an hour (with people who arrived after us all having been served) we had to ask for our food to go, because we no longer had time before sunset to see what we drove two hours to see. And then it still took another fifteen minutes! A really awful experience. (The food was reasonably good, in the car, but honestly who cares.)
