I looked up cookie places and GoodL’Oven cookie shop in Bellevue popped up, I liked the name so I gave them a call😁 Next was where the experience began, I spoke to John, the baker, who listened to my story like he had all the time in the world, he navigated me thru their delicious cookie menu and which cookies are the people pleasers, then I decided to order sandwiches which he recommended the French Connection & Muffalata. But to top it off, (they are typically not a delivery place) he arranged to have my order delivered to my daughter’s place! She was so surprised and raved about the cookies and Sammie’s! In this day and age, there are not many people or places that go beyond, but John, you were OVER THE TOP! Thank you for making my day AND our daughter’s! “I love everything about this place. The desserts are wonderful. A custom cake can be done with no hassle and always looks and tastes great, but really, one of the things that stands out for me is that they don't ask for a tip, even though it may be well deserved. I assume they are paid well for their positions and I appreciate that from the owners. Because everywhere you go you are forced into tipping. I spend a lot here and have no problem with that.I just appreciate no tipping.“

“When you don't have any homemade cookies on hand, Good L'Oven cookies are the next best thing! The Salted Sea Turtle is my favorite cookie. If you're in downtown Pittsburgh on Thursdays, they sell cookies at the Farmers Market. If you're visiting their shop at lunch, they also have a great buffalo chicken wrap. Definitely stop at Good L'Oven when you have a chance!“

“Gobs, Gobs, Gobs! We visited to sample all flavors of gobs and the burnt almond torte they are known for. The bakery did not disappoint. Everything was so delicious. The only problem is now finding a place in Chicago (my home) that can fill my gob cravings!“

“I’ve been here over a dozen times now and the consistency and quality is great, however, the process of some of the items are crazy. Like how is a small sour cream donut the same price as some crazy intricate filled cronut-makes no sense. Also, I wis the app offered more rewards and deals, like give me a few more $3 lattes, it’s the least they can do after a $6 pastry. But everything I’ve had here is pretty great, it’s definitely not some French bakery but more of a good Instagram worthy/trendy place where everything looks so perfect and you can take a photo to show everyone and their dog. Coffee is pretty good too. This place is also on TooGoodToGo if you wanted to get a random assortment for cheap, just know that last time I did it they were kinda stale and dry somehow. TLDR, kinda pricy and please make the simple pastries less expensive.“

The produce, bars goods (the PIES!! 🥧), the decorations for sale, the soups & the plants are just some of our favorites! My kids love visiting around Fall when they have Pumpkinland displayed- a section of the greenhouse decorated for Halloween with the cutest selection of artistically painted pumpkins for sale. I didn’t realize they were closed...went inside and the employee gave me a free drink and the rest of the pretzel items for free. She did not have to do that.
