“I ordered a cake for my 2 year old's train-themed birthday party and just asked for them to write "chugga chugga two two". Whoever decorated this cake did a fantastic job and I really felt they took the little bit of extra time to make it look special. I wish I had been the one to pick it up so I could have thanked the baker/decorator. “When you don't have any homemade cookies on hand, Good L'Oven cookies are the next best thing! The Salted Sea Turtle is my favorite cookie. If you're in downtown Pittsburgh on Thursdays, they sell cookies at the Farmers Market. If you're visiting their shop at lunch, they also have a great buffalo chicken wrap. Definitely stop at Good L'Oven when you have a chance!“

“This cookie/sandwich shop has risen to the top in so many ways! We live in FL and our daughter lives in Pittsburgh and it was her birthday. I looked up cookie places and GoodL’Oven cookie shop in Bellevue popped up, I liked the name so I gave them a call😁 Next was where the experience began, I spoke to John, the baker, who listened to my story like he had all the time in the world, he navigated me thru their delicious cookie menu and which cookies are the people pleasers, then I decided to order sandwiches which he recommended the French Connection & Muffalata. But to top it off, (they are typically not a delivery place) he arranged to have my order delivered to my daughter’s place! She was so surprised and raved about the cookies and Sammie’s! In this day and age, there are not many people or places that go beyond, but John, you were OVER THE TOP! Thank you for making my day AND our daughter’s! Can’t wait to meet you in person next time we visit😁“

“First time ever going into the bakery … shame on me. It was pretty busy but the woman that waited on me said I came in at a great time. She was awesome. I rattled off a list of random pastries and bread items. She got it all together RQ, boxed bagged and the transaction was seamless. I wish they had a tip jar! “Crumbl left me feeling a little crumbled. I feel this place is more of an experience than anything else. Presentation is great, service was pleasantly standard, and the atmosphere felt Gucci. Their offerings are extremely sweet, sugar overload. Tasted as if there were too many unneeded ingredients. However, your mileage may vary if you’re into enamel tingling sweet. I did the experience, but am left with a lack of interest to return for more. Wouldn’t be a bad place to take a special someone or to grab a big order for a social event. Recommend for the experience and first timers.

“This is my go-to grocery store for the duration of my time living in the area. It’s always very clean, and mostly has stock of the things I’m looking to buy (especially my diet specific products). The reason for my positive review is not for this reason though (although it should be definitely taken into account). My main reason for leaving this review is for a cake I had ordered at their bakery! They were so incredibly kind to let me place an order the night before pickup, and also fulfilled my odd-ish request better than I could have ever imagined! “Everything in the case looked gorgeous. Every thing looked so good, I wanted it all. Got a praline cone filled with cheesecake and a Boston Cream cupcake. The cheesecake cone was a little difficult to eat, but it was absolutely amazing, and the Boston Cream cupcake was probably the best cupcake I've ever had in my life. Missing a star because it is a little on the pricey side.“
