“Awesome bakery with lots of unique and delicious items! They aren’t just a bakery with sweet treats, but also serve boba, dumplings, and some sort of shaved ice I believe. It’s an awesome place. I tried the egg tarts, cream puffs, and crispy pineapple buns. The egg tarts were quite tasty. Not too strong of a flavor and relatively light, for an egg tart. They are small and perfect for a quick dessert. Nothing too crazy, but simple and tasty. The pineapple bun unfortunately didn’t have any real pieces of pineapple on it. But, it was still very good. The dough itself is very soft, fluffy, and airy. It is not heavy by any means. The top is crispy and sugary, but the bun itself doesn’t have a ton of flavor. There’s something in the middle but it’s not too discernible. Still, quite tasty. Finally, the cream puff. This was huge and delicious! It was filled with tons of cream, which was surprisingly not too sweet, and more buttery, almost. The dough is also tasty, similar to that of the bun. I’d highly recommend this. All in all, this is an amazing bakery in Mt. Lebo, and one of the few Asian bakeries near the city. Great menu, solid prices, lots of variety. Check it out!Kid-friendliness: Lots of sweet treats for kids“
“2nd trip here - changed up service to counter only. Order at counter, grab a table and they bring you your order. Food delicious as last time. Homemade baked goods - my wife loves their English muffins - used in their breakfast sandwiches and available for separate purchase. Sandwiches are huge. Get to Mt Oliver before summer 24 when they relocate to New Brighton. You won't be disappointed.“
“Bought our first Cake yesterday from Casey Renee for my Mom’s wedding and now I’ll never buy another cake from anyone else. Casey is the sweetest and she is so talented. Everyone was asking where the cake was from, as it was beautiful and delicious! Thank you Casey Renee!! We’ll be repeat customers for sure!“
“*Come here for the BEST vegan cinnamon rolls EVER* While in Pittsburgh for vacation, we learned about this all vegan bakery! WOW! So glad we stopped in for a morning treat! Beautiful store front with the sweetest ladies- we were welcomed by soooo many (all vegan!) goodies! We got a massive choco chip cookie & cinnamon roll to go! The cookie was massive, still hot from the morning baking, melty, doughy & delicious! The cinnamon roll was legit the BEST I’ve ever had! Mind blown! First off, it was huge. It was super doughy in the inside but perfect flake on the outside. Loaded with melted frosting, cinnamon - it was perfect. I have had a LOT of vegan baked goods in my life time but this place knows what’s up! Vegan or not- come here for the best massive cinnamon rolls of your life.“
“Delicious - hands down the best French bakery I've been to in the US and I would say the Tarte aux framboises was best ever / anywhere. The crust was impeccable and the right amount of everything. We bought several things to try and enjoyed it all!“
“A hidden gem in Morningside!! The owner is a really sweet woman who puts her whole heart into the delicious food and drinks that she makes. Ka-fair is a full service coffee shop with tasty lattes, matcha, smoothies, pastries and breakfast foods. Try the egg toast and the seasonal strawberry matcha when you’re here!“
“We have been coming here to enjoy all of the absolutey scrumptious breads for years! And we will continue to do so for years to come! But, this year we were so disappointed, there was no Irish Soda Bread!! Yours was the best we have ever tasted!! Perhaps you will bake it again next year?! Thank you for your amazing, tasty baking skills!Sincerely,Christine and Elmer Bakaysza“
“Independent Mediterranean Market. Nice size, good selection of Mediterranean regional foods. Olive bar, house made pitas, sandwiches to go, other regional food products.Employees were nice and very friendly. I will update this review after a couple more visits. My First visit was in Feb. 2024.“
“I ordered a chocolate chip cookie because I feel like you can judge a place by something classic like chocolate chip. The cookie was excellent and had a ton of chocolate chips throughout and on top. The cannoli cookie was great and came chilled. It had a cream filling that was sweet but not too sugary. The cookies were good but they are pricey. We spent $10 on two cookies. It's definitely a place to get a special treat but not an every day thing. They also had self service kiosks which I love!“
“I love this place. The first time I went, I was specifically craving Madeleines and couldn't make them cause I didn't have the pan. And searched the web for it and found this cute Lil place.Chefs kiss ?? the atmosphere first of is so relaxing, a cute café spot. The service was better!!! I bought my Madeleines and a couple of other treats, and at the time, it was almost closing time, and the nice lady gave me a bit extra. How precious. I went back again, randomly this time. Well, I was craving sweets and was in the area, and this time it was closing time a the gentleman gave extra of Madeleines again. It's always so sweet this place. ❣️❣️Parking: There's a spot far parking, but it's up to chance.. it holds about 5-7 cars.Kid-friendliness: Outside cafés area, open space for kids to run around.“
“I had heard very good things about this place, so I decided to stop in and see for myself. The staff was friendly. They had a selection of very upper level cupcakes and slices of assorted cakes. Everything looked super good so I bought a dozen assorted cupcakes and 2 slices of cake. We were very pleased with the quality and taste of the baked goods. I would definately go again. My only suggestion is that every item is ala carte which ended up being a bit pricey. 70 bucks for 12 cupcakes and 2 slices of cake seemed a bit much for me. Maybe a deal on a dozen of 1/2 dozen would be my suggestion. I loved the goods but would definately buy less next time due to price. Still very quality though. Stop in and check it out.“
“We're visiting Pittsburgh and stumbled upon Georgie's during a walk. We came back today for breakfast and it was wonderful. The servers are very friendly. One went above and beyond by moving an additional outdoor heater closer to our table so we could each have one. They're very thoughtful and the food is delicious. I definitely recommend giving Georgie's a visit if you're in town.“
“5 stars is almost impossible... But they made that possible. The presentation of their baked assortments is magnificent the variety is incredible. You haven't had a Donut unless you've tried one here, The Filling in their Bavarian Donuts and Jelly is legit the best quality I've had out of the dozens of bakeries I've tried through out the years the staff is also very nice!“
“My partner loves sweets, cookies in particular, and I wanted to find a local bakery to buy some goodies for Valentine’s Day. Was happy to see that this place offers cookie packs with free shipping! I loved the assortment and the specialty Pittsburgh inspired cookies. I’ve never ordered baked goods through the mail before, so I was worried about how they would arrive. However, they were neatly packaged and individually wrapped! And they were still soft. This place also allows you to add a custom message which was added as a sticker on the inside of the box. The cookies were delicious and larger than I expected - I would definitely repurchase from this place! Thank you for the A+ Valentine’s gift!“
“What a cutie bake shop conveniently located in the Robinson shopping area. We couldn't decide on one flavor, so we got 3 of the little cakes, "Bundtlets"! Seasonal Andes Peppermint Chocolate Chip, Carrot Cake, and Red Velvet! Each were super moist and wonderfully flavored. The team was super welcoming, and the decor festive for the holiday season! What a cute gift these Bundtlets can be at only $5.50 each!“
“Such a wonderful little piece or France tucked into Pittsburgh! I went in to order macarons and ended up walking out with the delightful little desserts, as well as several warm, freshly baked baguettes. The environment was welcoming and cozy and the girl who helped me couldn't have been sweeter! If you've got a taste for authentic French baked goods, I can't recommend this place highly enough!“
“Best gluten free bakery I've ever been to!! We are from out of town and I've struggled to find good gluten free things but I stumbled upon baked true north and it's amazing!!!! Chrissy was absolutely wonderful with helping us pick out different things to try and recommending their top sellers. They even have shipping for baked goods so we can get these delicious baked goods back home in Massachusetts!!! We highly highly recommend the cinnamon buns and the lemon bars!!!Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp“
“La Gourmandine has a great selection of pastries and breakfast danishes and all of them are delicious and not pricey. The interior design is super cute and the service is very fast. The Tarte Au Citron is great if you want something that isn't too sweet - the tart and the lemon combination is delicious. There are also seasonal specials to look forward to. I've also ordered a few cakes from here and the process and pick-up is seamless.“
“I Love Triangle Bar & GrillDestroyer Meatball Subs!I Call Ahead For Two. The Meatballs, Bread,Cheese And Sauce Never Disappoint!Their Sides Greatly Compliment The Sammiches. Macaroni Salad Is My Fav.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp at the front entrance which facilitates wheel chair access.“
“I love this place. Staff is typically quick and friendly. Good food and reasonable pricing. Gotta get there early if you want a good selection as some items are limited on daily production. I love their pepperoni rolls and breads. They make great sandwiches as well. Nice selection of grocery items as well.“
“This place is amazing, the pizza is so awesome, the baked goods are so good, they have these cherry and cheese Danish type pastry, they have a specific name i forget, but WOW they are amazing, there is cherry, apricot and a few others and I'm sure they are all as good as the cherry....The staff is always awesome too ?“
“Five Points has been my go to weekend treat spot for years. I really cannot recommend this place enough! Things I love: - their chocolate croissant is my #1. Recommend it highly! Perfect every time. Dunk that thing in a cup of coffee to make it even better! - the seasonal danishes are so fun! My faves are pumpkin and rhubarb. - their indoor seating is open now! Cozy with a decent amount of seating, I've never had an issue finding a place to sit either in the back or along the "bar". They have two big bathrooms which is really great too! - service is quick! - so many options, but they always have the favorites available which I love. - I've never ever been disappointed by something I eaten here. It's really all that good. Things I don't like: - literally nothing I can think of. I think the prices are totally worth it for the high quality food you're getting. The food and drink are consistently delicious. The staff is friendly and fast. Things to note: - there is almost always a line out the door on a weekend morning. Don't let this deter you! Let it draw you in! It's worth the wait and the line moves fast. - they have sandwiches on Saturdays until they run out. If you're looking for a sammie don't go too late in the day lest they run out!“
“First time actually going inside and I was impressed. Their menu is way bigger in person. Newer things advertised right in front of ya! Ladies were nice. Roll was amazing. I do wish they had more drinks and selections of those. They should make some fruit refreshers I would be flattered? Love you guys always. Thanks!“
“This is my go to place, I finally found a place that caters to keto sugar-free diabetic individuals. They made me a special birthday cake which was amazing and I go here always! . Every time there is a holiday or I got a sweet tooth they get a call :) Absolutely recommend.“
“Visiting Pittsburgh for the weekend and had the pain au chocolat which reminded me of the croissant I had when I visited France, definitely delicious!! The sweet smelling aroma of newly baked pastries greeted us as my group walked in. The workers were all friendly and courteous, ready to assist or explain any inquiries.“
“The sweet scents immediately hit you upon entry. The lemon cello cookies are to die for! I am so glad that I ordered a dozen of them. Even though they are known for their biscotti's I did not order any this time. But I certainly will on my next visit there.“
“I’ve ordered two birthday cakes and a custom two-tier cake for our son’s baptism from Bella Christie’s Sweet boutique. All were incredibly delicious and beautifully decorated. This is my top choice bakery for special occasions. I live in the South hills but come here for cakes.“
“I stopped in when I had a medical appointment in the area and left with two dozen cookies which were fresh and delicious! The donuts looked amazing. Staff were friendly. I’ll definitely be back here soon to get some of the frozen pierogies!“
“My neighbor just bought a box of donuts to me and my wife and let me say THESE ARE THE BEST DONUTS IN PITTSBURGH AND SURROUNDING AREAS!! It's the right consistency with the icing on each donuts and MAAAAAN I was HOOKED from the first bite!! It's gonna be a BIG BACK SUMMER for me!! “
“Just found out that they have closed down. I have been buying their bread, rolls, and buns for a long time from my local Shop n Save. Their prices were much better than their competitors. Very good quality with no preservatives.I miss them...“
“One of the very few restaurants/cafes in Pittsburgh that serves Ube anything! -- Like other reviews, this is every foodie's dream: food was delicious (get their Ube Waffle!), decor is elegant (they have golden ceilings!), and service is super chill and calming. I've been here a few times already, and each experience is just the vibe.“
“This is award winning food. Gluten-free heaven for me! I had the tuna melt on GF focaccia bread, it was SO delicious I had to reconfirm that it was GF. The tuna was exceptionally mouth watering. GF made peanut butter cookie alone was worth coming back for. Salad was fresh and dressed to perfection.“
“A friend had taken me here a couple week ls ago and I had one of the best dinner experiences I have in Pittsburgh. I love dinner and everywhere I go for travel I try a dinner. This is one on the best ones I’ve tried. Great service and the food was delicious with a reasonable price. My buddy had the breakfast pierogies with kielbasa. It looked amazing and if I go back, I’m trying those. I ended up getting the Brother Tom’s breakfast plate. And when I received this French toast, I was absolutely amazed! Bread was made in house, and it was nice fluffy and flavorful. Hands down the best French toast I had a very long time.“
“We loved everything we got here! My husband, who doesn’t like macarons, really enjoyed the macarons. We also got the raspberry tart and Paris-Pittsburgh and thoroughly enjoyed both. The Paris-Pittsburgh just melts in your mouth. Both have a delightful flavor :) we will definitely be bringing our friends and family here when they come to visit!“
“I was there for a charity event. They had delicious snack type food. My chai tea was absolutely delicious. Service was great and everyone very friendly. Much of the historic charm of the building is intact. The only reason for a 4 on atmosphere was the music was a little too loud.“
“An awesome Korean bakery! All of the items I got were definitely high quality. I think I prefer this place over Pink Box, but I’ll need to try more to be sure. I ordered the condensed milk loaf, twisted donut, plain buttercream bread, and the coffee bun.My favorite of the items was by far the coffee bun, which I was quite surprised by! It had nice, crispy edges full of sweet, but not too sweet, coffee flavor. The inside was soft and had hints of coffee as well. Overall, very good! And good portion for the price. The twisted donut reminded me of just a regular donut sprinkled with sugar. It wasn’t anything too special or extraordinary, but it was well made. The inside was soft, and it was very sweet. The plain buttercream bread was surprisingly not that sweet! The buttercream is quite rich and creamy. I will say, I would have liked a bit more of it, as the bread really dominated the flavor here. Still, great.I was a tad bit disappointed with the condensed milk loaf, but it was still great. I was expecting a bit more milky flavor and sweetness, but the hints of condensed milk are very light. The bread is still soft and fluffy, and a solid deal for the price. All in all, I really enjoyed this place. The desserts were all high quality and pretty fairly priced in my opinion. Solid portions as well. Some unique items, some more standard. Recommend it!Kid-friendliness: Kids would enjoy at least some of these treats“
“This bakery has been my go-to spot for years, and I've still yet to discover another establishment that can rival its quality. My family can't get enough of their brownies or pepperoni rolls!!! (Their cinnamon buns are also to die for) I recommend The Pie Place to anyone and everyone!“
“Its as good as it was before they closed. The chocolate cupcakes with either the fudge on top or the chocolate buttercream are easily the best chocolate cupcakes we've ever had. My dad doesn't even like cake that much but we took a 1/2 dozen to my parent's house and he said it was the best chocolate cupcake he's ever had and he's in his 70's, so that's got to be pretty good right? If he said it was the best cupcake he's had all day, then I wouldn't bother writing this review because then I would know he's had a better cupcake before that day right?“
“A pleasant little coffee shop with plenty of choices, good coffee and tea, and even a few sandwich options. We had the ham egg and cheese sandwiches, an iced caramel cold brew, and a Chai Charger. The cold brew was a little underwhelming, however everything else was perfect. The shop itself was very well decorated with mechanic themed artwork throughout. This definitely isn’t your standard clean cut and modern coffee shop, but it is all the better for it.“
“We have ordered 5 cakes and a couple dozen cupcakes from Madison Ave Cakes and we have loved all of them! This place is a 50 minute drive from our home but their ability to make cakes beautifully, combined with how absolutely delicious it always is, totally makes it worth the drive. They also work with your needs and the orders are totally customizable. We’re always getting compliments about how good the cakes are and how good they look. We definitely plan to continue ordering from them.“
“Are you in Pittsburgh but wish you were in Paris?? Then you need to go to Gaby et Jules. I went here to get a coffee, not knowing what it was. My waze app sent me here for coffee. They only serve espresso, FYI, but I'm sure it's delicious too. Since I was already there, I decided to buy a small selection of macarons, and they were amazing! We tried the Le Pittsburgh (peanut butter buttercream), sea salt caramel, and pistachio. Each was absolutely wonderful; especially the caramel with tiny notes of salt in the buttery sweetness. I am definitely coming back when I'm in town. And if you are tempted to scoff at the price- this is a normal price for macarons. Have you ever tried to make them? It takes a lot of practice to get them to taste like this. Worth the money, if you ask me.“
“My wife and sister-in-law surprused me with a 50th birthday cake from Signature Desserts, which came beautifully decorated (a.k.a the snake cake)! The white cake was very moist and the raspberry creme was delicious. Everyone loved the marshmallow ganache snake decoration and colorful icing. Very well done! Thanks, Signature Desserts!“
“What a great idea to have a "fast food" shop just 1/2 block from the actual full service, very busy restaurant. With fresh, refrigerated, and frozen food, bread, sandwiches, the restaurant favorites, without the wait. No seating, just an order counter, with wonderful staff, anxious to help. Go!! You will not be disappointed!“
“No fuss. No muss. Just good pretzels. I don't know what it is about the east coast, but y'all (or should I say yinz guys) do pretzels and bagels better than anyone else.Made a super quick pass in the drive thru to get some crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside goodness with a side of nacho cheese. The guys working this little spot were super friendly and quick to serve, but they forgot my drink. That's okay. They were friendly enough for me to overlook that slight. This spot didn't have seating, so we ate in the car. No regrets.“
“I ordered a Neapolitan pastry and it was fantastic. A very refreshing and surprisingly light breakfast. The staff was very familial and treats their regulars with great care. If I'm ever back in the area I will definitely stop by again to sample some more. Strawberries seemed fresh and the cream was wonderful.“
“I no longer live in Pennsylvania, but every single time I visit, I make sure to check out the Bread Schedule and give Loafers a call! The staff are always incredibly helpful/accommodating; I've called many times with requests to pre-order/hold a loaf or two to fly them back home with me, and they are always willing to do so. Their product is always incredibly fresh and delicious. It's so hard to eat any other kind of bread, knowing that this craftsmanship is out there. If you're visiting the area (or have guests visiting), make sure to swing by. Fox Chapel, don't take this place for granted! It's an absolute GEM.“
“Thank you thank you for making this special cake and cookies for my daughter's 21st birthday!! It was perfect and tasted delicious!! Kuddos to the baker that did an amazing job on the cake decorating!! The almond cake , raspberry filling was perfection!!!!“
“Our family has been getting our special occasion cakes from Alex for years. They are not only works of art, they are delicious! She always pays special attention to what we requested and goes above and beyond. Can’t wait to order for our next event.“
“This place is amazing! It is a pretty dense pretzel. I got the Buffalo chicken sandwich on a Thursday for $4.50. It was so worth it! Came with lettuce and tomato. I'm sure the service is great, a friend picked up my order. The place is nice and offers a lot of variety. It's good price and pretty good food.“
“A few places I frequent are partnered with Panaderia Jazmin, and when I was in the vicinity of this bakery, I had to stop. All the pastries are kept in a self-serve display case. You grab a tray and tongs at the door, and then you fill up your tray with the pastries you want to take home. You hand the tray over at the register, and they package them up for you.I loved all of the items I went home with, and I look forward to stopping there again.“
