Stopped for breakfast this morning. Left very disappointed. Home fries seemed old and reheated, bacon had a greasy film on it, like it was heated in a fryer. Just lazy cooking.
The good:
-Easy to find a seat
-Great beer and beer selection
-Good service
The bad:
-Food was HORRIBLE- mashed potatoes tasted like Idahoan. Charged an extra $1, even though they were listed as a regular side on the menu? DO NOT ORDER THE STEAK! My fault. Should have known.
-Charged a fee for credit card for a $70 bill (for a burger/ New York Strip steak that looked and tasted like it was boiled before thrown on the grill to warm it up / kids cheeseburger)...read full review
Italian hoagie was overloaded with onions. Bbq chicken breast was tough. French fries weren't cooked enough. An attempt at a chopped salad where cucumber, tomato, onions chopped small with big pieces of lettuce. Overall food was very poor.food rating should be one star.. Not even close to the quality of food at the original meet per on babcock.
Menu
The Pine Creek Public House offers a welcoming atmosphere and excellent service. While some items may be temporarily unavailable, the food remains delicious. The fish sandwich stands out, and the hummus platter with house-made hummus and chips is a hit. The staff is friendly and attentive, providing an enjoyable dining experience. The happy hour specials and the party room add to the appeal of this restaurant.
The reviews suggest that the breakfast experience may have been inconsistent, with some issues with the home fries and bacon. However, the lunch and dinner options seem to be well-received, with the batter-dipped fried shrimp, truffle fries, and grilled ribeye steak earning positive feedback. The large size of the restaurant may contribute to an occasional empty appearance, but overall, the reviews indicate a positive dining experience for the family.
