"Black" Jack Kehoe is my 1st cousin 4x's removed and Joe Wayne is my 4th cousin. I was wide eyed with wonder as Joe recounted the same stories of our family history as coal miners, county constable, barge pilots and railroad men. My wife was amazed when Joe told the story of Wiggins Patch Massacre. We know who said, "Don't shoot the women or children."

Read that they opened at 12:30 pm on Sunday, was there with my family and waited for the doors to be unlocked and after 15 minutes, we left
Can't give this place enough stars! It was like going to a museum that you could drink at! If you're into local history, or history about the Molly McGuire's this place is a must go. If you go say hi to Joe. Joe is the owner, restoration chief, bartender, historian and part time stand-up comic. My friends n I stayed there for 3 hrs, no TV or music playing just great conversation, good jokes, and a warm Jameson shot with Smithwicks backer. SLAINTE!
It was great. I learned a lot from the owner. It's small, but it is a big step back in time. It really does take you back to the simple times.
Joe Wayne gave a great tour of this historic place and we had a few drinks as well. There is a lot of history here that you won't find in the history books.
Full of local Irish history.
I've been there almost every year Girardville had the St. Patrick's Day Parade. I absolutely love it there! Yes, it gets packed, but the people I've encountered are pretty cool. I love the history behind the Hibernian House too. ☘?
Had a great time here. Bar with great history.
Simply the best of a historical establishment. It's a must see when in Girardville.
Good experience ?

Great place for a pint and a history lesson, Joe Wayne's knowledge of local history and the Molly Maguires is unrivaled.
Good Community people.
Attended the Girardville, PASt. Patrick's Parade. My husband is an active AOH Member so we had to visit the Jack Kehoe Hibernian House. Bagpipes played and everyone celebrated the Irish heritage. Had a great time!
Home of the Molly Maguires, this authentic Irish bar has loads of history. The owner is a wealth of local Irish history as well.
Great little bar to stop in located in the town of Girardville a lot of coal mine history inside the bar and around the town. That's where the Molly McGuires met, on the second floor of the bar. Google the Molly McGuires if u don't know who they were. Very interesting!
