I ordered something that looked and sounded quite delicious on the menu, but when it arrived, it was just watered down pasta with a little bit of olive oil on it and nothing else. Very disappointed in the choice that I made. The atmosphere is nice and they have an outdoor seating area.
Hopefully, if you go here, you’ll choose something that is as described unlike my mistake.

I finally got a chance to try this place! It's an absolutely beautiful atmosphere, and the staff is very nice and knows how to make a good drink. I had a bit of disappointment with the Panna pizza and spaghetti and meatballs, especially for the price, but I'll likely be back to try everything again because of how beautiful the place is and welcoming the staff was.

Unfortunately, the service is just atrocious. For a table of 4 with a reservation at 530, we walked out at 745. It took awhile to be served & then everything for the entire dinner was crazy slow with zero explanation. Yes our server was slow, but the managers were also non-existent. It just feels like a poorly run establishment.

I have the best Italian food that I have every eaten. The service was amazing. The bartender were great too.

We had a fantastic dining experience at Il Pizzaiola, and we wanted to take a moment to recognize the exceptional service we received. From the moment we walked in, Leah, the hostess, made our group feel welcome and ensured our reservation was smoothly handled. She was warm, friendly, and efficient in getting us settled at our table.

Sophia, our server, was equally impressive. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely made the experience even better with her thoughtful recommendations and attentive service. She checked in on us at the perfect times, and her friendly demeanor really made our evening special.

The espresso martinis were hands down the best in the area, and the pizzas? Absolutely incredible. Each one was perfectly cooked with fresh ingredients and delicious flavors.

Overall, the combination of great service from Leah and Sophia, along with the amazing food and drinks, made for a memorable night. We can’t wait to return!

Top notch service with special attention to our little one who got to watch his pizza cook! Will be returning very soon.

Vegetarian options: As vegetarian, I found plenty of delicious meatless options - notably the margherita pizza, gnocchi, and insalata misticanza.

Kid-friendliness: Best service we've received while dining with our 4 year old. He had the best time on his night out with his parents!

Amazing salad and bread with dipping oil.
Went with family and we were greatly disappointed in the pizza, crust was soggy, cheese was overbearing.

Undeniably, the best lamb chops I’ve ever had. Although I have had many other dishes that were superb, like pasta, pizza, etc. I keep returning for the 8 tasty lamb chops and always have a delicious meal. I dream about returning for more!

Kid-friendliness: We had a 100 year old birthday party for my Mom with 50 people. The kids had as good a time, and thoroughly enjoyed their meals, as the adults

Il Pizzaiolo is the closest to authentic Italian that you’ll get in Pittsburgh! The pizza and pasta are excellent and you really can’t go wrong no matter what you choose.
