“I was in the area and decided to pop by to try a thing or two. Not knowing anyone who had tried them before I stuck to the small, individual sized items…browned butter chocolate chip cookies, morning croissant and some pizza dough. It all comes frozen but I had other places to go so some started defrosting in the car. Here’s my review of each. Cookies - I don’t like ANY chocolate chip cookie that doesn’t have nuts in them. I usually wouldn’t even buy them, I decided to try these because of the browned butter. I had one in the car before I got home and they were AMAZING! I shocked myself at how much I enjoyed them. They were soft without being chewy, a feature I hate in cookies personally, and had nice crispy edges, even after defrosting! The taste, texture and everything about these defied all that I thought was possible with a gf cookie! 10 out of 10 Pizza dough - since it was defrosted by the time I got him I decided to make a couple mini pizzas. I used half the dough, I bag will easily make 4-5 personal sized pizzas. I thought I had rolled it too thin as it started to break apart so I made it a little thicker. It rises while cooking so when I do the rest, I’ll leave it thinner for sure. Because other gf pizzas seem to have such difficulty cooking in the city I was concerned when I saw these rising. But they cooked up beautifully! It was soooo nice having gf pizzas seem that had the taste and texture of traditional crust. I appreciate suppliers for having the option available, and some are better than others…but the Flakely dough is the standard now! I’ll never buy another gf pizza, whether it be a restaurant or a market. 10 out of 10 Morning croissant - I put this right in the freezer so I haven’t tasted it yet. But it looks phenomenal! They described it as a cross between a cinnamon roll and a croissant. You can’t go wrong with that combo as a general thing but given how the cookie and pizza dough has tasted, I have no doubt this will be terrific as well! Run, don’t walk, over to their shop and let’s make sure they’re around for the long haul. Just beware, they might spoil you against some of your existing faves!“

“Tomato pie like no other! Absolutely delicious cheesesteak and pepperoni bites and dont even get me started on the italian rum cake. Absolutely wonderful owner! She is such a sweetheart and doesnt hesitate to make things right. Always worth the 30 minute drive! 10/10 ‼️“

“Ashley was a 10/10. She was nice, attentive, she honestly went above and beyond and it felt natural. Those brussel sprouts do it every time. So good. The drinks were just OK /not her fault. Tons of ice in the marg and not really any flavor. She fixed this tho. The atmosphere is low because there was flies every here and there. Other than that we had a great time. “Plenty of options, everything was pretty good. The fried mozzarella was maybe better labeled as fried cheese, and great. Loaded fries and cauliflower wings were equally delicious. The eggplant was a bit meh, the skins were just really tough. Desert options were good.“

“Crust was an accidental find. I was strolling down the main street in Manayunk and the familiar vegan word caught my eye. Inside, I was surprised by the variety of baked goods, past the usual cupcakes and cookies. Multiple refrigerators house cheesecakes, cake cups, tiramisu, breakfast bakes, monkey bread, and more. We bought a seeded card (Mother's Day is around the distant corner) and a chocolate strawberry cheesecake. The strawberry cheesecake was dense and creamy with a crispy Oreo crust. “As a child, I went to middle school one block away from this diner. I walked by all of the time in those days today. Now i just drive by always wanted to stop but never did but I’ve always been curious so it’s 61 years old today. I had a couple of extra minutes and I stopped in and I must tell you I was very impressed, the food was very tasty portions. The place was clean and my server. Diane was awesome.
