“Neighborhood Bar in a secluded spot in Greentown.....while it does seem that everyone who comes in know one another, the staff wear shirts stating "there are no strangers here, only friends you haven't yet met" and we were certainly made to feel that way....staff is friendly and attentive......the menu is small and understand that it is bar food.....however it is definitely above average.....wings are very good and you can choose from many different sauces or dry rubs.....we have only had the cheesesteak hero here but it is what they are known for and you can order a half or whole and have different options including chicken or steak....I certainly recommend trying Mountainhouse Tavern.....you just might go in for dinner and extend your stay at the bar with new friends while listening to local bands.......“

“Great find after visiting Mt. Wismer Trail. The kids loved the food and I got the steak for lunch. Very surprised for that a piece that big and it was absolutely worth it.There was a smoking and no smoking side and felt like a very comfortable spot to unwind.“

“The bartender/owner Kathy, is worth the visit. Mom and pop shop. Lots of local history and good conversation. Can't accommodate more than five people inside currently. There is a beautiful patio area that can accommodate more.. The place has a lot of potential. She is in the works of revamping it.“
