Forney House Bed & Breakfast, Tea Room and Gift Shop

We needed a last minute meeting location to discuss business details in private with the team.

The owners very very accommodating and courteous. They out a lot of care and attention into this building; from the cleanliness to the design.

You must try their tea, it is potentially the best tea in the state. It is the best tea I have ever had.

From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming — you can tell they truly care about their guests. The entire place was spotless and beautifully kept, with so many thoughtful touches that made our stay extra special.

Our room was cozy, quiet, and the bed was so comfortable — we slept better here than we do at home! The breakfast was absolutely amazing — fresh, homemade, and beautifully presented. Every bite tasted like it was made with love.

This bed and breakfast has the perfect mix of charm, comfort, and hospitality. We can’t wait to come back and will definitely be recommending it to all our friends and family!

First time visit - I was very happy with the atmosphere (beautiful Victorian home), the food (plentiful and delicious), great selection of teas, fabulous service (attentive and courteous) and the owner chatted with our group (really sweet)!! Great value!! Good time! Awesome experience with my besties!!! We’ll be back!!

Went here with a group of my work friends and it was amazing!! The tea, food and service were great!! They are very attentive and personable. The food portions were plenty and still had some to bring home. Can’t wait to go back again!

Absolute gem this place is!

My sisters and I have been to many fine tea houses over the years. The Forney House is definitely up there with our favorites. The service, food, selections of teas, atmosphere and everything about it is absolutely wonderful. I can't imagine a better tea time experience! Staff were all so cheerful and accommodating! We'll definitely be back!

It was fair. The building itself is beautiful, but the interior is very cluttered. The tea selections are nice. We had a reservation for 11, the claimed that we did not. After a few moments, they allowed us in. After 10 awkward minutes of seat rearranging, we were accommodated. Food was very disappointing, aside from the scones. Scones were incredible. It's a great tearoom if you are new to teahouses

Diane made our first visit absolutely wonderful! I had discovered this little treasure the day I wanted to do something special to celebrate my daughter's birthday and Diane made us feel so welcome, despite my last minute planning. She is warm and gracious and the Tea itself was fabulous! Beautifully presented, each course was more delicious than the next. The gift shop is lovely and we were delighted to have our newly tasted, favorite tea available to take home to enjoy! I am already making plans for our next visit. This is a must see venue, for a special experience and we look forward to returning soon! Thank you, Diane and your dear helper, Kelly, for making our afternoon perfect!

Took my sister to afternoon tea for her birthday. I had been to this tearoom before and fell in love with it . Each course was simply delicious. The food was meticulously arranged. Our waitress was wonderful. A wonderful 5 star experience. We will be returning soon.

Forney House is an absolute GEM. The rooms are well appointed and utterly spotless (and they all have different themes!) You can tell the owners put their heart and soul into this wonderful place. Diane was incredibly accommodating with our dietary restrictions and allergies, of which there were several, and cooked us an absolutely scrumptious breakfast. Great location downtown, too -- walkable to everything. We'll be back!!

Thank you, Diane and John, for a lovely bed & breakfast experience from start to finish! The suite was spacious, comfortable and clean. The food was fresh and tasty, especially the homemade gluten free scone. We look forward to returning!

Not kid friendly! Brought my daughter to have tea with my family and was immediately greeted with “I didn’t know a child was coming”. I replied that she would be sitting on my lap because she refuses to sit in her own seat and was met with “Just make sure she stays in your lap.” Immediately wanted to leave due to not feeling welcome at all. Later in the tea I decided to leave due to my daughter getting tired and wanting to explore. As I checked out again I was met with “are you tired? Or did you wake up to early and just wanna run around everywhere?” Being asked to my daughter. I have never felt more unwelcome at a place just for having a child. I will not be back. Also, they mix gluten free items on the same tray as regular food items so be prepared for contamination.
