We first dined at Mallard about 3-4 weeks after they opened. This is a second time back and they are definitely on their game. The facility is beautiful, the service was on point, and the food was superb. Mallard is definitely worth the trip.

Upon arriving we were greeted warmly and escorted to an exquisitely decorated dining room, the lighting reminiscent of candle light. We didn't' have to wait long for our appetizers. The beet salad was a heavenly combination of red and golden beets , their sweetness enhanced with a blue cheese and a drizzle of balsamic dressing. My husband said that his seared Foie Gras brought back memories of being in Paris! We both chose the duck breast. The entire course was presented attractively. Layed out with the duck in port cherry sauce was a parsnip puree which was creamy and perfectly seasoned. The carrots and green beans still had a slight crunch and were done to perfection. The duck was expertly seared on the outside while tender and juicy inside. The delicate cherry au jus enhanced the succulent meat. This is fine dining surpassing even Manhattan. The entire evening was quite magical.

We had been going to the MainLand Inn for dinner for many years and it was one of our favorite restaurants, and we were extremely upset when they had closed down. We waited for such a long time for a nice restaurant to take its place and let me tell you, the Mallard restaurant absolutely blew us away in so many respects. The outside of the restaurant looked so beautiful with all the lights and landscaping. When we entered the restaurant, we had to go down and check out the bar and it looked so cozy, comfortable and inviting. We then went upstairs and were greeted by Gil. She had such a wonderful smile and made us feel so welcome immediately. She took us to our table I had requested by the window. All of us remarked on how beautiful and stunning the restaurant looked- we took note of that right away. The beet salad, the shrimp cocktail and the escargot were plated absolutely beautifully and tasted so good. The filet mignon, Fazzoletti pasta and salmon were so uniquely plated as well and tasted absolutely delicious. And the perfect dessert to an awesome meal was the baklava, so flaky and so scrumptious. Kudos to the chef for really making this an outstanding meal. AJ was so friendly as he brought a lot of these dishes to our table and helped clear them away. We must say that between Gil and AJ, quite frankly, they made the entire evening so much fun for us. On our way out, it was a pleasure to meet up with Ahmed as we told him about our wonderful dining experience and that we were going to be back again in another month to start to introduce our friends to this wonderful restaurant. Thanks again to everyone for making this such a special/wonderful evening for us !!!

It's a Friday night and we are a group of 4 arriving for a 6:30 reservation- half the room was empty and so when we were seated in the middle of the room at the large round table we asked for a more intimate table in the corner w booth seating and staff was extremely nice and moved us. I will say that we were a friendly and fun group of moms having a night out and we had a great time though we could have had the same great time at home cooking our own dinner. Here's my take and really careful w my review making sure it's not me but my friends were in agreement. Our server was not warm or hospitable but he left us alone and we were fine with that bc he was borderline grumpy! Here's what we ordered: oysters, escargot, onion soup mushroom soup, croquettes, foie gras; all of our appetizers came out at once they were all so flavorful and delicious and the best part of our meal. Our mushroom soup was too cool not temperature appropriate for soup but still fine. Then, all our dinner entrees came out at once even though we were clearly sharing everything. The thing that ruined our entrees was the short ribs lamb and the pasta was cold! I mean the fat was gelatinous and solid on the short rib! And lamb! Unacceptable I'm guessing they cooked the scallops last bc that was the best tasting and warmest of the four entrees. The short rib pasta had 2 strips of pasta on it with a big piece of short rib on top which was weird bc it was supposed to be a pasta dish. We should have been told by the server as we ordered the short rib entree too. Our waters took forever to be refilled and our drinks took too long. (We ordered a bottle of champagne the up charge was ridiculous it was $120 but retail it's a $45 bottle). And we had probably 2 rounds of cocktails which were good. Our whole meal cost $580.00 not including tip- we tipped $120.00. So basically a $700 meal that we felt was too expensive for what we experienced. It would have been better if service was more hospitable too.

We have been to Mallards a couple of times. The food and the service have been consistently outstanding and last night was no exception. We had dinner with friends and the four of us agreed that our food was well prepared, creatively presented and, most importantly, flavorful. Two of us had the roasted beets for an appetizer and two of us had the Caesar salad. Great reviews all around. Our entrees consisted of two orders of Swordfish, one Branzino and an order of the Short Rib and pasta special. This special may find its way onto the menu... and if it does... order it. Right now, Tuesdays and Wednesdays are BYOB, if you so desire. In the alternative, Mallards has a nicely curated wine list at very fair prices. Enjoy!

This is a return to greatness. I've lived in Montco long enough to have dined at The Mainland Inn when it was the premier fine dining experience in the area. Mallard resurrects that experience. The dining room is beautiful. Service was impeccable. Cocktails were inventive and fantastic. And the food... Outstanding. The foie gras was wonderfully unctuous. The escargot were perfect in both taste and consistency. Warm bread assured the escargot plates were swiped clean. Perfectly seared scallops with a slight crust on the top and buttery soft throughout. Succulent, meaty and delicious lamb chops (medium is the perfect temperature here, as it is between medium-rare and medium). My family loved it and we will assuredly be back. As an extra bonus, I found out Tuesdays and Wednesdays are BYOB. For me, that gets an extra star.

We had a delightful lunch in the Bodega. Nicole was our server. She was courteous and very professional. My husband had a new pasta dish, that was so delicious; I had the chicken sandwich with fries, side of salad, so good. We finished lunch with the best baklava we have ever had. We will definitely be back again.

I went there hoping to have an amazing experience. My husband and I are extremely disappointed in our experience. We entered into the restaurant and I have to say it was beautiful. Everybody was nice and friendly. We had onion soup and it was very lukewarm. It tasted good but tasted as if it was out for the whole day. The Caesar salad was the worst salad I have ever had . I can't imagine how someone can mess up a caesar salad. The lettuce tasted as if it had some weird taste. The Caesar dressing was terrible. We ordered the steak for two, we were very disappointed in the amounts of steak they gave. We were wondering if we just got the normal sized steak for one what they would have put on the plate. In the middle of my meal, the waiter reached right in front of me to grab a martini glass that was finished. It felt as if he was needing to do that to try to get me to order another drink. It was very random how he came over and really put his arm in front of my meal to get the glass. I can recommend this place for someone who likes to drink a lot and want to be in a nice environment. Also, and does not mind just throwing money away.

We have eaten at many places, we were expecting better quality of food and the prices were a little high for what we got. It seems like they are try, but they want the money more than making the customer happy. Same it is right around the corner from where we live. We miss the Mainland Inn.

Phenomenal experience all around. Our new favorite place to go! On the pricier side but well worth every dollar spent. I got the salmon and my husband got the rack of lamb. Great choices!! Definitely a place that I'd be comfortable trying new things on the menu. The chef knows what they're doing!!! Thank you Mallard for your phenomenal overall skills, service, food and ambience!! We'll be back soon!?

We started with cocktails in the 'la bodega bar' downstairs. Service was a little slow in getting our drink order. We then went to our dinner reservations in the Main dinning room. Service there was very attentive. Partner and I both ordered the French Onion Soup which was very good. Then we had the Filet Mignon, also very good. The wine list by the bottle is pretty extensive, somewhat more limited by the glass. But the Power Cab Sav was excellent. Would definitely return

Excellent service, very nice atmosphere, and delicious food. Caesar Salad was a bit blah, and duck too salty, but the oysters, french onion soup, scallops, and baked Alaska were delicious. The cocktails were delicious and beautifully presented.

Arrived for 5pm reservation and was told dining room was not ready, please go downstairs to bar area for my cocktail. Waited in la Bodga bar for several minutes while female server chatted with a male guest. Drink arrived a moment before someone arrived to tell us ding room was available. Not the greatest first impression. However once in dining room my friend and I were doted on. Friendly staff, excellent server named Bruce. His recommendations were spot on. Escargot is delicious. We shared a filet and scallops. Filet was cooked to perfection for me. We ordered medium but it was more medium rare, which I love. We were both pleased with cook on steak. Scallops for me were a bit salty but my friend did not think so. Too full for dessert. Cocktails are unique and delightful. Will definitely return to try some other menu items that look interesting.

We went last night (Friday) for drinks/appetizers before another dinner engagement we had made previously. We live very local and had not yet been since it opened under new ownership as the Mallard. What a great surprise! The drinks were awesome....best Cosmo my wife had had in some time. We split the Sliders off the Tapas menu...they were cooked perfectly and very high quality. We sat in the bar area which seems much more upgraded since prior ownership. It really had a great vibe to it. They had a small musical group who sang some great stuff. We really really want to send a special shout out to Pelegia who was not only our server but also a great bartender. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and paid plenty of attention to us...she is a real professional and someone we'd ask to sit with again....ask for her as she is special and very hard working. You can tell that she cares about the place and its success. We plan to go back for a full meal....curious about their happy hour that Pelegia also mentioned. Give it a try!

Considering the many very good reviews, we must have "hit" an off evening at Mallard. We were eager to experience the restaurant. From the very start.... The handicap entrance was locked! Once seated, water was filled, but a waitress didn't show at our table for 15min. The "fine" dining experience just wasn't happening. Without stating all the blips, the main entree (scallops) was just warm, with a significant fishy odor. The food and service did not represent the high pricing.
