“Every time I come in here I’m surprised. The bar staff is attentive, the prices are the best in the city and sometimes the owner even decides to feed everybody on a whim. There’s always a friendly person to talk to and almost everytime somebody sends a drink my way. Each time i see improvements being done to the interior too. I’m sad that I moved further away right as this place was gaining traction. Truly a hometown hero spot that welcomes everybody. Almost makes you want to keep it a secret but then that wouldn’t help them. Come in for a drink afterwork. Its something different.“

“When the neighborhood spot the Midtown Tavern changed ownership and became Mad Moose we in the neighborhood had some concerns. No need. The Moose rocks. A truly great neighbor. Great staff, quite good food and well made drinks. Music on Friday’s is quality stuff. Highly recommended.“

“I have been asking for a decade what happened to all the REAL bars in America-if you want an actual old school dive bar-this is it!!! Has the atmosphere that everyone knows everyone on a Tuesday at noon-has cheap drinks, juke box, pool table etc. and PEOPLE-people that speak to each other-I feel like every bar now people go with their friends so they don’t meet people in the bar-NOT the case with this place!! If u want to meet people, have a great time-go here! My favorite spot in Pennsylvania!“

“Honestly I was barred since 2017, so the fact that they have new staff I was able to get back in. The security was nice n did their job well, the barmaid was prompt with her service n I like the fact that they have protection shields at the bar that separates the customers from the barmaids... Over all I enjoy myself.“
