Halal New York Gyro Food Truck

I’m so disappointed. I used to frequent this establishment. Even going out of my way sometimes to come down town at night or during the day to get their chicken over rice (spicy). One day I decided to go during my lunch break. I should’ve known to change my mind once I approached the truck and was met with a harsh smell, but they always have a smell so, foolishly, I ignored it. I got my food, went back to work and started to partake in the meal I was craving so badly. But something was off, I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. I thought, hmm, maybe they didn’t put enough sauce, and they definitely didn’t give me spicy rice. I took another bite and the pungent smell that I met at the food truck is what the food tasted like. I’m not one to have a weak stomach and this made me gag! I smelled the chicken and it smelled spoiled like it sat out in the heat all day. I’ll never ever go back. Go to Crispy Halal on 2nd down the street. They’re MUCH BETTER! And they don’t STINK!!

The food is absolutely delicious, the proprietor is incredibly friendly and it is all very reasonably priced. I go every time I am in harrisburg and they are open.

Delicious lamb over rice, delicious lamb gyro, beyond reasonable prices. What more can you ask for brother?

Food was good , missed having this back in NYC. I had the spicy rice with chicken and salad , white sauce and hot sauce. Only thing I can say is if it had some onions and peppers it will really complete the dish. Overall the portions and taste were great.

Chicken over rice with that white & red sauce, sooo good would definitely recommend. Also loved the chicken gyro!! The owner is so sweet everytime. I adore him!!

WOW, this spot was AMAZING! I ordered the chicken over rice with white sauce, and it was so good! The flavor was on point, the portion was big, and the food was super fresh. Honestly one of the best halal plates I’ve had in a long time. If you’re in Harrisburg, you have to try this food truck, you won’t be disappointed! 😋🔥

Very good food. Very friendly. The lamb and chicken platter is the best. I love going there on the weekend. Don’t forget the white sauce! Owner is a very hard worker and is a great person.
