Hookers Seafood Joint (Harrisburg)

Customer service is terrible and the food is subpar! The female assistant manager is rude and unprofessional. I placed an order explicitly explaining what I would like, 3 orders of chicken and seafood fries. I drove over 15 mins home only to find out that they did not include my entire order. I returned and she refused to own up to the mistake made on their behalf and walked away while I was speaking with her. On top of that the wings made my husband sick and seafood fries were soggy and tasteless. Don’t waste your money or time, try Da Slapbox instead. Better food and customer service.

I was looking online for seafood restaurants in Harrisburg and came across this restaurant. Food was amazing! I ordered fried flounder, shrimp and Gouda grits. Food was well seasoned and I also had crab soup which had an abundance of crab meat. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

I got off the Amtrak train and needed a quick bite to eat while waiting for family. Quick service, delicious food and I personally enjoy the kiosk allowing me to place my order and getting the ability to get my food delivered after as the dine in option. Would recommend the fries and gigantic shrimp dinner option.

Portion size does not equal price. But the food is great.

The lady answering the phone was very rude & just didn’t care. Wanted my bread toasted she act like they couldn’t accommodate. I wouldn’t eat here, customer service is everything and here it lacks.

Appreciated the crab cake sandwich not being assembled which made the cake easy to reheat a few hours later. Sandwich was seasoned, moist, and tender. Fries were favorable and did not lose its texture without warming. Also had whiting.

Hoooooo weeeeee!!! This place is a hidden gem. I stopped here with my family on a roadtrip and we (mom, dad, and two young boys) were not disappointed.

Location: easy to get to in downtown Harrisburg. Short drive from the highway. If you are roadtripping, make sure you plan a stop here. Seating for about 25 people inside

Food: we got the shrimp & crab fries and the whiting, shrimp, and cheesy grits combo. EXCELLENT choices. Everything we had was delicious. I am not a fan of grits, but these cheesy grits may well make me a convert. Do they sell the grits in 5 gallon buckets? The shrimp and fish breading was delicious. Excellent seasoning. Be sure to get a side of the hot and heavy sauce. Super tasty.

Staff was kind and helpful! We will definitely be back when our travels take us this way next.

Long story short... my my dad has dementia & has a hard time expressing what he wants so I'm always trying new things to get him to eat because his condition affects his appetite. Yesterday we stopped here because he loves a good fish sandwich but unless I make it the ones we've found haven't been too good. Well once we got home & I unwrapped his sandwich we were both pleasantly suprised at the size. There was so much fish hanging off the bun & when I say he tore that sandwich up... he tore it UP! I just got some whiting strips & banana pudding. Everything was flavorful & the fish was cooked to perfection. We'll definitely be adding this to our list of favorite places

Hate to be a negative Nancy but there was nothing good to say about this “restaurant”. I’m a business owner who takes pride in the service I provide, my place of business and my brand. This place was dirty, employees were unpolished for customer service and the food “fish sandwich” was terrible not to mention the advertise it with tomatoes and lettuce but I was told they stopped buying the items. So why not update the menu to indicate that?
