Went here last night with my husband for our anniversary. Sad to say, I left there starving and ended up eating at Cork & Fork down the block instead. The food at Rubicon was certainly sub par. In the past, it has been fine. But last night they didn’t cook my filet mignon correctly. I asked for medium, it came out rare. They said they would fix it, but brought it back out three minutes later and half of it was a hockey puck, and the other half still rare. Clearly, they just stuck it in the microwave. I would expect more, especially when charging the money they charge. Then I asked for a simple pasta and pomodoro sauce instead. At this point, my husband was done with his supper and I was starving. The owner brought out a bowl with literally 5 pieces of small pasta and about a tablespoon of sauce. I said, how is this going to satisfy an adult for supper? She in turn starting describing the pasta (“this is a tubular shaped pasta…”). Clearly I can see that, I do have eyeballs! I was extremely disappointed, and absolutely outraged that they were going to charge me a full meal for 5 SMALL bites of pasta. No Thankyou! Will not be returning here, my money will be better spent literally anywhere else!!

Everyone knows—it only takes one sip. One sip seals the deal! And by the way, it’s exceptional. The Espresso Martini? Hands down the best in the area—crafted to perfection by Kelsey. She’s phenomenal!

What a great experience tonight at Rubicon! We were in the area to see a movie and they were able to squeeze us in without a reservation on a busy night. Expertly made cocktails, warm-welcoming service, and perfectly executed dishes. Well done!

Dinner at Rubicon in Downtown Harrisburg. Clearly the most creative menu in town. Chef Qui is super talented. We started with fried artichoke and ricotta stuffed zucchini blossoms. Then chef made us a mid-course of morels in cream sauce (AMAZING). Mains of pork ribeye with caramelized plum and pear and tagliatelle in crab saffron tomato ragu with shrimp. A wonderful ricotta and apricot pie for dessert. Great dinner!!!!

We came here for a birthday dinner on Friday evening in May. We called ahead to reserve a table for 3. When we arrived we were taken to our table immediately with no wait.

Our server took our drink orders and told us the specials for that day which all sounded good. It was hard to choose what to eat so we shared a few appetizers and two entrees between the three of us. We also shared dessert. Our drinks were very good. The food was delicious.

Our server, I think her name was Alex, was outstanding. She was personable and attentive and made sure our birthday celebration was top notch.

The atmosphere was casual but elegant at the same time. The menu, including cocktails, is flavorful and unique. Prices were reasonable.

We had a great time and would for sure come here again.

This is a very classy restaurant. Every employee here is very good at their job, from the chef to the servers. It may be pricey, but it is well worth the cost. Had a lovely anniversary dinner here. Dinner was beyond delicious. The appetizer of artichokes was fantastic. The special trout, splendid and my husband greatly enjoyed the black pasta dish. We shared the dessert that had fig in it and it was sublime. Overall a very nice dinner.
