With a view of our beautiful capital building and a Christmas tree, I couldn’t ask for a better night. We went for some great grub and good desserts and were more than pleased. We met Sammy and got a free cup of joe. Sammy is a true Italian and knows how to make banging food. If you are within an hour drive and haven’t been here, you might as well leave the country.
Have wanted to try Sammy’s for years and the hubby and I finally went. We called to make a reservation and the person who answered was more than accommodating. We arrived a few minutes early and waited while they cleared a table for us. There were only two tables that weren’t occupied. The space is smaller and the tables are closer together but somehow once you sit down you don’t feel like you are sitting on top of others and you still feel like you are having dinner privately....
Hungry driving from NH home, I searched for a restaurant we could have a good meal with fresh ingredients, no fast or processed food for us, and found Sammy’s as we were driving by the area. We sat outside with our dog Enzo and had a delicious meal prepared by Sammy himself and served by lovely Erin finished with one if the best Tiramisu’s I have ever had. We highly recommend it.
