The food was okay, the menu was overwhelming and kinda overpriced.
The atmosphere was nice and pretty though. The setting however was kinda uncomfortable.

I literally just called to ask about something and the girl who picked up the phone hung up on me TWICE!! At first I thought the call dropped but when I called again and asked if they make bento boxes to go, she hung up on me again! Absolutely trash service. She should be fired! Will never order from here again.
This is always such a fun place. The food is always delicious and the staff is kind
Always friendly the food is great and the menu tells you exactly what is in everything. I am allergic to avocado and they always make sure to take the proper precautions.
Service was just fine the food was not. They dont salt anything when they are cooking. They pour teriyaki sauce on everything including seafood. The teriyaki sauce isnt even good. The yum yum sauce is sweet. Everything was overcooked. How do they not put lemon on seafood?
Our family has been eating at Shogun for years! We recommend all of the apps, but our favorites are the pork gyoza, rock shrimp tempura, and crab rangoon. The hibachi, sushi, and drinks are great. I’ve had their Mai tai and lychee martini. The staff are attentive and I like the dim lighting in the restaurant which creates a nice atmosphere. We will continue to come back for more!

Terrible !!!!! Worse experience I ever had here. From food to service . One staff member was helpful. The rest were terrible !!! They didn’t bring enough food out to be cooked and gave child portions . The hibachi chef was beyond rude . And our waitress did not listen no try to pay attention. Almost served a person with a shellfish allergy shrimp.

Besides their policy about full, present parties for seating, this is the best hibachi restaurant in the area. Reasonable combo meal prices and noodles included are a plus. Great for birthdays.

The food is great especially when you are getting it prepared in front of you. Sometimes have to ask for same thing more than once from the waitress but no real complaints.

We wanted hibachi scallops so that's what we ordered. They did not serve us scallops. We got imitation scallops, yes it's a thing, I knew as soon as I saw them. I was so grossed out and felt We were mislead. They gave me a gift card but do you really think I want to eat here again? Don't order the scallops.

This review is 1 star for several reasons:
1. The hostess on 3/14/2026 at around 2-3pm with the black curly hair in a bun was an absolute rude woman. No smile, no greeting, nothing. She gave attitude to both me and my fiance. If I caught her name, I would put it here, but of course when confronted she was avoiding my family and I.
2. She does not know how to pick up on social cues and hints. He was trying to talk quietly so then he could surprise me for my birthday, and she ruined the surprise by saying loudly that “ALL 12 PEOPLE MUST BE HERE.”. I have waited years for this surprise party and that got taken away from me because of her. What she did would be fine any other time other than the fact that he stressed several times to the person he was on call with to NOT SAY ANYTHING. He explicitly told the worker on call SAME DAY that he was going to ask for a “Reservation for Noah” so that he could check in without ruining the surprise, and to pass the message along. Once I put two and two together, she just gave me a “oh well, not my problem” look. The least she could’ve done if she recognized the situation is “oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t realize”. But she didn’t, she avoided us the entire time from there on out. My two family members and I are willing to collaborate if someone reaches out. If you’re planning a surprise party, go somewhere else. They don’t care about you, even if you tip them well.
3. All the staff, and I mean ALL OF THEM, looked miserable, and gave attitude. They did not even try to put on a smile, knowing that this is a birthday party. That’s basic manners, but maybe they thought we weren’t going to tip. They didn’t get much better after a large gratuity (THATS REQUIRED BTW!) on top of a 20-40 dollar tip!
The only saving grace was the cook who put on a show, but even then, the damage was done. He was kind. Everyone else there looked miserable while serving us, and looked at us as if we were a *burden* to them. I hope that this business learns from being called out, but probably not with how obviously they do not care about their customers.
I will be ensuring that nobody that I know of goes here. You can’t charge expensive prices for food just to not be willing to do anything for the customers that ARE PAYING YOU TO HOST A PARTY THERE!!!
