Our waitress was horrible. My food came out late after the other people in the group at our table. Something was wrong with our check and we also received it later than every one else in the group. We asked for mayo and ranch but never received them. Our drinks had no carbonation in them. The burger had a charcoal flavor. The bathroom had no soap or paper towels. The only good thing was the crispy fries. I shouldn't even give you one star but no star. And I could just go on and on. *This was written by honest 5th graders.

Service is poor, they're just doing the bare minimum. Food is boring and not well prepared, I'm not even sure I got what I ordered but it didn't matter, none of the other plates looked any better.

Last night I stopped into Appalachian brewing for dinner, and also got to play trivia with a coworker on a business trip. The food in my opinion is a touch above a typical brewery these days. The pierogies and Brotz were amazing and I absolutely love them. The beers are typical for an established brewery and were quite tasty. Especially like the staff, they were friendly and very attentive. The atmosphere was awesome, and I really love the themes that seem to shout out to through hikers on the Appalachian Trail.

I have gone to ABC since it opened and to see it as empty and lifeless as I've seen it this past visit is sad. The bartender was fantastic, friendly and attentive. We did not eat there this visit, but I have in the past. At one time this was a bustling place with great food and beer. Sadly, the ownership is lacking the ability to attract customers to this location. However, I'm not surprised in the least since, he is a terrible employer who can't keep staff, brewers, or chefs employed. The food over the years has gone from one of the best in the area to sub par. I hope someone can come in and help to reestablish this location to something that will be great once again. If only the owner would allow that, sadly his ego will get in the way.

Come to this establishment for the past 8 years about the same time if the year. This year and tonight it was horrible starting from the host desk. The woman looked mad that we walked in at 8:45. We were told kitchen closes in 10 minutes so sit at the bar it be the quickest way to get food. Staff should change they're attitude, especially the food runner that evening. Well drinks were ordered, somehow mine was forgotten about. Dinner orders placed, ok. Dinners came out staggered and before appetizers. The appetizers came out staggered and at this point on dinner still hasn't been served to one guest of the party. Excuse was oh the chicken is taking longer. BULL!! The coleslaw tasted sour, the cheese sauce or the lack of for the pretzel tasted extremely watered down. It look yellow so I assumed it was supposed to be a cheese sauce if some kind. I've worked professionally as a executive chef for 30years, this tonight was unacceptable. I will give this place one more chance before I do not return. Btw change your hours of operation on your phone, it says you're open until 11pm. No stars given the site is making me so I can post this review.

Amazing service! The staff is super friendly and extremely knowledgeable on the beers here. The food? Out of this world good. Definitely can't wait to come back.

Would give less. Have been a Mug Club Member for almost 20 years. Service has gone downhill. Worst, when I reached out and tried to give them business for a private event,I could get no response. Horrible customer service and likely will not be back. Three weeks of calls and emails to only ever get a menu and no further feedback is horrible customer service and is why I would never rely on ABC for a special event.

If you don't have Olivia W serving you, you will probably be fine. We went for my boyfriend birthday. Asked ahead of time if we could split the check because we had 20 people. She didn't even speak us. Barley came up to get orders. The end of the night was absolutely terrible thank you to the manager for helping us out. And splitting our checks. Food was okay. Probably not coming back. Especially if she's our server...

This brewery is a good size and has plenty of staff working. Full food and beer menu. Plus some sours, ciders, and seltzers. The let me try a few samples which is always appreciated. The pretzel had way to much salt on it but I was able to brush it off. The poutine was good. I had the orange sour and I enjoyed it. I would recommend trying this brewery.

I live out of state but travel Rt81 threw Harrisburg a few times a year. I make it a point to stop at Appalachian brewing every time. There are items on the menu that I like better than others but I have never had anything I don't like. And don't get me started on the beer. Start with the " Jolly Scot" nuff said !
