Yeah, it’s a little pricey but wow, the food tastes incredible. It was worth the cost. Even just a simple salad has flavors that I had not experience before. They must be getting their tomatoes from some Mr Green Jeans garden because they tasted like I expect them to taste on television. Everything had complex flavors and was very fresh and very delicious. The atmosphere felt like my artistic grandmother’s living room but we got it. They want you to feel like you’re at home while eating some Michelin chef-level food. For us modest heshers on a budget, this is only to be a special treat, but if I make it in the music business, I’ll eat here every day. It’s that delicious. It was my partner’s birthday and they gave her a free piece of cake and it was scrumptious just like everything else. Make reservations because it’s always busy. We waited 45 minutes for our food, but it wasn’t a bad place to wait and the food was worth it. It’s also dog friendly and people love to eat outside with their pooches. I also have celiac disease and after explaining to the waitress about cross-contamination, she was extremely careful and I had a salad and was not affected. That’s very rare for me, but it gives you an idea of the level of service. Top Notch!

Consistently outstanding. Always fresh, flavorful and interesting options. The hosts at the front desk and team serving patrons complement the fine dining experience, making repeat visits to this White Dog Cafe worthwhile. The Verlasso Salmon was an enjoyable entree and Deviled Crabcake sandwich was a nice alternative to a more traditional Maryland Crab Cake dish. The cheese curds are among the best to be found anywhere. And White Dog dessert hounds will love the lemon blueberry cake!

My husband and I celebrated our 30th Anniversary. We picked White Dog because the vibe, food and service can ALWAYS excellent. We were not disappointed. My steak was cooked perfectly.

We decided to return to WD after we stopped going following a few lackluster meals. I am sad to report that nothing has improved. The restaurant was busy but not slammed. Our food took forever. Our waitress never refilled the water or asked if I wanted a second glass of wine. The highlight of the meal was the gazpacho. Everything else was ordinary. The shrimp and grits was over buttered and too soppy. The presentation looked terrible. My oysters, while on ice, were not cold. The Eggs Benedict lacked flavor. Nothing was worth the 40 minute wait after the devilled eggs for the main courses. For the high end prices, the service was absent and the foodefiocre. We will not be back for another few years, if at all. 😞

Happy Hour menu has been upgraded since our last visit. Cheese platter, Caesar salad, chicken salad sandwich on a croissant and hamburger are all the best!

Her manager, Tonya, was equally impressive. She listened to a concern I shared, addressed it immediately, and ensured everything was handled with care.
