White Dog Cafe - Haverford

My sister and I took the guys out for Father's Day. Everything was nice food was very good.

I was served a meal that was so hot it burned my mouth, throat, and esophagus. When the pain hadn't improved several days later, I contacted the restaurant and ultimately had to seek treatment at urgent care.

Accidents can happen, but what was most disappointing was how the situation was handled. I was given conflicting information for next steps. The lack of concern or accountability made me feel that this is how the company values its customers.

This was a restaurant I visited often, which makes the experience even more disappointing. Unfortunately, because of how this was handled, I won't be returning.

Do not ever consider White Dog in Haverford for a special event. We hosted my sisters baby shower here and were so disappointed. The service was so slow that we ran out of time for opening gifts and we never received the coffee and tea that we paid for. Many guests, including my pregnant sister, never received the dessert we had also paid for. We emailed our dissatisfaction and it took a couple weeks to get a response. No offer of a refund for the coffee and tea - only a promise of a gift card which has yet to be sent! White dog is overrated and I will never set foot in the Haverford location or any other one again. So many other wonderful options I’d recommend instead.

My two friends and I had another amazing experience at White Dog Haverford. Always the best vibe! We had two amazing servers who were so professional and charming! Our food was delicious (tuna tartare, soup, beet salad, pasta and trout ). It never gets old!

Great service and food. Was quiet in the bar area which was great for our group to catch up.

I ordered the eggs Benedict special and the quality of the food was pretty bad, especially given the price. I will not be returning anytime soon.

We had an outstanding meal at WDC in Haverford. The carrot soup was amazing, and the other dishes were delicious. The service was superb: attentive, helpful and present but not intrusive.

Sweet server, cold and over cooked food. The White Dog used to be reliable for great service and predictably good food. Last night, it felt like all the staff was new and there was no manager on duty. The beet salad was missing the goat cheese, the salmon was overcooked, the fries and the sauces were cold. We were served 35 minutes after ordering, so maybe our food had been forgotten in the kitchen. I told 2 servers and was offered a weak apology, but no fix.

You do not need a menu. Deviled eggs, prime rib sandwich. You're welcome.

Everyone in our party of four was delighted with their meals. Two of us had the trout with mashed potatoes and found this dish to be delicious. My husband was ecstatic over the mushroom soup. Also, the service was exceptional.
