I've been to Chestnut Tavern several times over the years and each time the service has been friendly and professional. The atmosphere is cozy and sophisticated and drama free. We enjoy their wine tasting hours and just stopping by for a bite and a brew without all the noise and crowdedness of life.
We arrived on time and seated for Fathers Day brunch, very slow service. Waited 10 minutes for water and another 15 to order. Have been going for 15 years and never had such slow service. Some brunch items like the French toast were too small so I advise a side of bacon. The indoor dining was only 1/3 seated but backyard patio full. I'll be sure to request outdoor seating and an earlier reservation the next time.
The food and service were excellent. One improvement on the food is to serve more vegetables with the main course. The service was exceptional. The ambiance truly conducive for a wonderful dining experience. The menu had a broad range of choices which was an improvement over out last experience at Settlers' Inn.
