Mexican Restaurants near Hermitage

“I normally choose to dine at the other Mexican restaurant in Hermitage, but went with family for lunch the other day to La Isla. It was pretty busy for lunch on a weekday, but we still had no wait.

I was surprised by how cheap their lunch options were- I had the Burrito Grande and it was $7.99 for everything you see in the picture! I had enough for a second meal, though I didn’t think I would at first, but that’s also probably because I filled up on chips and salsa. The salsa is more blended compared to other places I’ve been, and I don’t particularly enjoy chunky salsa so that’s a win.

I typically choose dishes at Mexican restaurants with shredded beef options, which La Isla does not have (at least on their lunch menu), although they have chopped beef, which is not as good in my opinion. For the burrito grande, I chose ground beef and it was pretty good.

While the food was good, I don’t think it was as high quality as the other restaurant’s, and the flavor profile was simpler and not as stand-out “Mexican”. It was a good meal, but not one that stood out and encourages me to come back.“

“Pretty standard Chipotle here. Ordered online and my order was actually ready when it was supposed to be, which almost never happens at other locations. I like that they held our ordered behind the counter and called our names when our scheduled time came. I have had issues at other locations with people taking orders that were not theirs.“

“I have seen technologically challenged individuals have issues ordering and not receive help from staff. This staff also has a tenancy not to realize that customers can hear them talking often, resulting in overheard inappropriate conversations. Over all the food as good as Taco Bell is and I love me some Taco Bell.“

“Its me & my brother's first time to come in this Hermitage, PA location & enjoyed the Flaming' Hot Grilled Cheese Burrito, Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes, & Beef Soft Taco with beverage for my taste of my experience & its all good & my brother tried his meal & it was all good too.“

“The people who run LaPalma are amazing! Kind & very helpful. The food is so authentic & delicious at great portions & prices. Whenever anyone visits we bring them here. We've never had a bad experience! I highly recommend!“

“This was my first visit to the restaurant, but will definitely not be my last. I love this quaint little spot. We were greeted and sat immediately, the food and margaritas were delicious, the service was perfection, and all at excellent prices. What more could you ask for from a restaurant? The chile relleno and tamale were outstanding and authentic. The beans are some of the best I have eaten. My husband is Hispanic and hard to impress with Mexican cuisine found here in the states, but he was also very impressed tonight. Great job guys. We look forward to our next visit.“
