Awesome food. Priced fairly.

It's in a neighborhood that's seen its better days, and that was what caused me to overlook it at first. After finding out another restaurant I was going to would have a 2 hour wait for food, I walked back toward Carnegie Library Music Hall, and took a second glance. Friendly and inviting interior, plus enclosed courtyard in back. The menu is kind of limited. Not sure if this was due to re-opening slowly from restrictions. But what they did have was simple, not over-priced, and very good. They have several salad options, vegan, or if you wish you can add chicken, cod, beef or pork can be added. I had one chicken and one beef tacos. They are not carelessly made, Chicken very good; the beef excellent. Yes, with some spicy ingredients, but you can order without them if you wish. Special thanks to the server. I figured they may have been short-handed, but I didn't realize he was the *only* one working that shift. He wasn't slacking, and was still friendly and efficient. If you're looking for a big dinner, it may not be for you - again, not sure if it's a temporary menu, Nice bar inside, though I didn't order alcohol.

First time here and we’ll return. Absolutely delicious food and service. Excellent drinks and food. We totally recommend dinner here. John couldn’t be nicer

Great time here. Had beef, pork, and chicken tacos and they were all on point! So were the deviled eggs!

The new menu is excellent! The flavor packed into every dish was impressive. We tried almost everything (deviled eggs, beet tostada, rice, beans, and all five tacos) on the menu and absolutely nothing let us down. In fact, each and every dish was better than I anticipated. The service was excellent as well. We will be back, for sure!

Fantastic food. Great service. Loved the atmosphere.The owners are SO sweet and care deeply about the experience of their patrons. We felt cared for and like we were a part of the family here. We will surely be coming back!

Great Food, had the salad and mussels. Wife had Honest John's pasta with a nice Italian wine. Glad there back, I hope people come out to support them. It's worth it.

Honest John’s is a fantastic high end local restaurant. I have eaten there several times and not only is the food tasty and amazing, the atmosphere is so cozy and sophisticated. I always feel so pampered when my husband Jeff and I go there! As soon as this mess is over with, my hubby and I will make a beeline for Honest Johns!

Impromptu date night and a FABULOUS burger special! Our server was fantastic, too.
