I arrived at this location last Wednesday, June 18th. We walked in around 8:40, everything says they close at 9pm. After the cook watched us stand there for about 5 minutes, he rudely asks if we’ve already placed an order. We said no, he asked what time it was, we said the time and he goes “shit well I’ve closed everything down already.” We walk out and immediately after us he turns the lights off and locks the door…. The following day, we go in around lunch time and Shakur is there. He is the SOLE reason I am giving a five star review. Exceptional customer service, exquisite food, overall a much better experience! I hope they give Shakur a raise or promotion because he’s doing what should/needs to be done at this location.

I come to Hook and Fish Homestead ALOT!!! Today however was the worst of the worst and I'm never going back...they had no frys (said they were waiting on owner for 3hrs) but they would substitute frys for side. I ordered gizzards platters 1/2pd with zucchini sticks wing platter hush puppies and onion rings ...the problem arise when I get home and don't have my gizzards so I call and of course they say I didn't order them...so I have no receipt so they win...you loss a good customer I will now take my business somewhere else and make sure my job never do another big order.....why would I lie shame on you Hook Fish and Chicken

This location has potential. They should consider a deep clean that includes power washing the front of the building. The ceiling fan is filthy. If it were summer Id be afraid something would fall in my food. There are seats inside which is a plus! I know this is a chicken spot but if they jazzed it up a bit, it could be an amazing location. The food was decent. Next time itll be take out.

I’ve had the wings there before. They are ok. The reason this place gets a bad review is because they have an automated phone payment system. I used this system to get wings on Thanksgiving. The website said the Homestead, PA location was open, and when I called the automated phone payment system it took my $65 order. I drove to the location and noticed it was closed. I called the next day and they said the phones should have been shut off and I would get a refund, but they weren’t sure when. I called multiple times, came to the location multiple times, and every time they said they would issue me a refund. The last couple times I called or came to the location, they said there was no manager but they took my number and said he would call me. This happened 3 times. It’s been 3 months and still no refund or follow up. I couldn’t dispute it with my bank because the bank needed more information that Hook Fish and Chicken would not provide. The wings are ok, but I do not recommend supporting a business that steals from its customers! You can find better wings at a dive bar.

I tried the fried oysters. It was a mistake. Too much breading, not enough oyster. Overcooked. Greasy. Disappointed.
