Hoss's Steak & Sea House

Hoss's has always been a favorite in my family. I know many have closed in the past couple of years and I have found that very depressing. I am very thankful to have the Hummelstown location right down the road from me. I always have a wonderful experience here and the staff is always phenomenal. Management is always on top of things and the salad bar is ALWAYS clean and organized.

Absolutely the worst experience ever. The floor has duct tape all over trying to prevent a trip Hazzard. Hot items on the salad bar might have been room temperature. Lids were broken that were suppose to be covering food. Ordered steak and onion rings. Outside of steak had a hard char to it on one side. Onion rings were undercooked and cold. As we ate our table was never cleared from the salad bar plates. Not once. Coffee was warm at best. The table closest to the door was full of dirty plates and such. Patrons already finished the meal and left. The table was never cleared the entire time we ate. You will never catch me in their again.

So the service was great, I'll give it that. But the food was horrible. Either overcooked, over sauced or undercooked. Salad bar was good but not worth the price.

Service and atmosphere was amazing. However $14 for the soup and salad buffet with only 4 overly salty soup options from a can was not worth it.

We went here for a dinner after a funeral service. They had the hall in the back ready for our party and the staff was extremely kind and attentive to everyone there. The food was fresh and very good.

Parking: There was a very large lot with lots of parking and handicap accessible.

I get there to pick up my order, can you wait 10 mins please? 15 mins later....hey is my food ready? No it hasn't even been started and no clue when it will be done....grilled cheese and chicken noodle soup. Not worth the wait. This is the place you'd take your grandparents, who have all the time in the world to waist.

The staff and service are always very good. The soup, salad, bread and deserts are amazing as well. I remembe when this place flooded many years ago. I was heartbroken thinking they wouldn't reopen, to my surprise they did and it's just like it used to be !!! They have the water level from where it flooded inside and it's insane to think the water got that high. This place is hands down the best Hoss's I've been to and will continue to back

Decent for the cost. Having seen the signs driving thru out PA, we decide to give it a try. Stopped by on a Saturday night, around 7, pretty empty. Maybe 6 cars in the lot. Lot was super dark, entrance area was dark, not sure if lights where out or if it’s always like that but hardly any lights on the building outside. On inside it was equally depressing, empty tables galore.. Service was great, salad bar was a bit lacking so we didn’t pay extra for that, sweat tea was good, steaks were thin and lacking flavor, but at this price, it’s expected. Burgers were waaay over cooked, dry and crunchy, too thin to cook med rare or even medium, kids didn’t finish them they were so dry, they did like the fries.. overall it wasn’t terrible, our server was awesome and definitely made the experience better. If you want a value steak, this might be your place..

Food is alright. Price has definitely gone up and it's not so cheap anymore to get just the salad bar.... the waitresses here aren't that friendly and this was my experience every single time the last 5 times I've gone in the past 2 or 3 months ....

I am glad there are still hoss's around. The soup and salad and was amazing and you can't beat the price. I loved the different soups especially the French onion.
