Bob's Restaurant and Krispy Krunchy Chicken

I went to Bob’s on my way to kayaking. After reading the reviews here, I made sure that I went here first! What an absolute delight. A one woman show… the waitress took orders, cooked the amazing food and cleaned tables. All while chatting with locals and visitors, making everyone feel at home. I had a meat lover’s omelette (comes with home fries and toast) and a side of scrapple. Definitely kept me fueled for kayaking all day!

My wife and daughter went there today. Ignored by staff and encountered very rude customers that blocked the way out the door.They'd get negative stars if I could.

Friendly staff! The BEST fried chicken ever!!!

I ordered something other than the chicken tenders this time around because I felt like trying something different and figured if their chicken is good their other food must be as well... complete mistake! My hamburger was so overcooked it was hard as a rock and my fries were stale and not fresh. Complete waste of money! Never going back there!

We all know Clark, dude who works there is awesome, the chicken is oddly tasty, I highly recommend the combo bowl. Chicken, mashed, corn and gravy, can't go wrong with that. Better then KFC, easy.

1st time, chicken and tenders was fresh but toooooo spicy for my children and myself. We have had all kinds of fried chicken from NJ, NY, all over down south. Biscuts was burnt on bottom. Potatoe wedges was good and mashed potatoes was typical instant.

We stopped in after attending Mass at St. Joe’s a block away. The prices cannot be beat. And the food was delicious. They had a TV on but the volume was low enough that it didn’t disturb us. There were crossword and sudoku books on a shelf. When the busy waitress saw my kids interested in those books, she offered us coloring books and crayons which was very thoughtful. Food came out quick and we had prompt and very friendly service. The bill was less than $25 for a family of four - unheard of! Definitely recommend stopping in for the food, friendliness, and neighborhood feel in the Poconos!

Didn't expect the Fried Chicken to be very good from the view of the outside of the building. But looks can be deceiving.... it was delicious! Also a neighborhood favorite.

Great little hidden gem! Excellent breakfast sandwiches and quaint atmosphere.

Had the crunchy chicken on day 1 and it was all white meat and some of the best chicken I ever ate. Fries were cooked to perfection. On day two my wife and I went there for breakfast. She had pancakes (2) and they were filled with blueberries and huge. Two of them looked like an inch thick. Fluffy and done perfectly. I had raisin bread french toast which was delicious, home fries to die for, and an order of bacon(3 slices) which was crisp but not over done. Cured well. A little off the beaten path but well worth the time and cost. Don't believe you could leave hungry.

Quality varies wildly. Fish and shrimp way over priced. $8 for 5 hard little shrimp nuggets no bigger than a nickel. Sides just aren’t good but if you stick with the tenders it’s usually pretty good. Sometimes the biscuits are good but often they are over baked with a little burn on the bottom. Has potential but more attention to quality is due. Been ordering here enough that I’m convinced that’s not going to consistently happen.

Small but friendly and welcoming. Fresh made food at a good price. I definitely and highly recommend that you stop in and enjoy a nice meal... Thank you.
