Huge from scratch pancakes and the potatoes were the best we ever had! Family owned and even got to chat with the family that owns it! Amazing experience all around !!! 5 STARS!!

I would not recommend this place during peak October season. We came her two hours before our train tour sat down and waited for our order, which never came out by the time we needed to walk to the train station. I don’t don’t believe this business is adequate scaled to handle high volume peak times. I will look towards somewhere else. To be fair, we were not able to taste the food.

CASH ONLY!!!! Since they don't disclose that, having NO signs outside and only a tiny one on the register, I'll let you know. 🙃 Waitress was nice except she helped two old guys before us even though we walked in first. She also didn't disclose the onions in the potatoes were extra. The food was...okay. Very, very greasy with a literal puddle of oil under my wrap. You also don't get a check unless requested so you can't double check pricing. It's sad because these kinds of tiny places are usually very good.

I was visiting the area of Jim Thorpe for the weekend with my fiance and couldn't find a solid spot for breakfast until I found this place on maps. We drove 18 minutes out from our Airbnb and would've drove a whole hour if needed after having their food because it was just that good. I ordered Danny's Mess and I highly recommend it. The flavors hit all the right flavor spots and the prices were extremely reasonable. Beats part of it all is they are family owned. Wonderful people and awesome experience visiting Jim Thorpe.

My favorite little breakfast spot in Jim Thorpe! The food is made fresh and is always delicious! Had the ham and cheese omelet with homefries and wheat toast.

While the first 90% of the dining experience was enjoyable and typical of what is to be expected from a small, local establishment, the last portion of the visit was distinctly different from a typical business transaction and unfortunately memorable in a much less desirable manner then is to be expected from a quaint town diner. After confusion at the register and not being permitted to split the bill, it was realized that the prices charged were significantly higher than advertised on the menu. Without providing itemization of the bill, the worker informed that prices had been changed. Being charged $28 without notice, however, for what was advertised to be $17 is unprofessional and unacceptable. When asked to provide an itemized receipt for the order, the worker handed over a $5 bill instead and considered the matter closed. Whether it is evidence of a pattern or simply a one off event, the attitude and lack of business integrity displayed in this interaction has left a bad taste in the mouth.

Down home country place. The portions were huge for the price. Had to take leftovers home. This will definitely be our go to place when we are in Jim Thorpe from now on.

Friendly and quick breakfast. Just found it to have a little bit of an odd vibe.

We sat at the bar for breakfast. First, the service is brutally slow, it took over an hour to get eggs, sausage and toast. Second, the cups they serve drinks in look like someone had been chewing on the tops. Third, the food is not good and hard to enjoy after waiting so long. Would also suggest the staff dress a bit better. I understand it’s a small family run spot but if you can’t look clean and presentable, what does the kitchen look like?

Exactly what you should expect driving thru town. Very small town diner. Clean. Could use some new cups. Prices on the menu were inaccurate, but still very fair. What you get for the price is really unmatched anywhere else these days. The chipped beef over home fries was the best I have ever had.
