Great brewery with a variety of beers like hazy pale ale, hazy ipa, lager, dopplebock. All of which were fantastic and available in a flight. Live music Fridays from 5 to 8. Unique location. The locals said the building used to be a funeral parlor.

If I could give this place 100/5 stars I would. First of all, the staff is amazing. The hours were showing incorrect on Google and they welcomed us with open arms into the brewery a half hour before they opened. Great to talk with the staff /the owners and they know their beer. The beer was delicious and there was a great variety, everything from stouts to sours to IPA’s. The building was beautifully redone to keep the original charm. I cannot find one thing to complain about. Will absolutely be back soon.

We stopped in at HGB for a drink while we waited for our takeout from UPH (conveniently right next door). The beers were fantastic, and I especially enjoyed the hazy IPA, but the wide variety of styles can appeal to just about any taste. The overall atmosphere and photos from Prohibition and the renaming of Mauch Chunk to Jim Thorpe were great.Everyone was super friendly and my brother (and his large beard) was even declared an "honorary hairy guy." We'll definitely be back!

The beer selection has something for everyone! I would highly recommend the porter but all are great! You will also find a great selection of spirits and cleverly crafted drink selections. The brewery atmosphere is chic and cozy. From the old time Jim Thorpe town photos to the restored Victorian space the ambiance is on point.

Had a group visit over holiday break. Everyone loved the beers and the atmosphere. Great selection of IPAs, Ales, Lagers, Porters and Stouts plus seltzers and some PA wine and spirits. Can’t recommend enough.
